what does this have to do with calibration?

On the other hand I have a PS3 connected via HDMI that I watch upscaled DVDs, Blu-Ray movies and play games on. Should I use the same or different settings for each? Which settings are pretty much the consensus for each?
BTW, I like the 3D effect that AMP provides; it is what sold me on the TV in the first place. CC had the TV by its front door playing Transformers and the 3D effects blew everyone (including me) away.
The downside is that I still experience TBE. I checked the firmware and am running 2004.0 so I don't believe it needs to be upgraded.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

amp does NOT need to be on all the time. low setting is usually best anyway. if you dont want TBE at all then turn amp off.

To all owners, what are the final accepted calibrations for this model of set? I've found in my limited experience here on this site that there usually are one or two calibration settings that are accepted as definitive. I'm currently using JerryMX's last settings. Are these the ones? I think they are nice but perfection is what I'd love to get to.

Please help.

Thank you Jerry. My hopes are high, although your last one's were a million light years away from out of the box on this model.

In my case, I use my last setting for games (Wii, PS3) without any problem. I play games for more than 20 years and dont found any delay for games with this settings. Tested with Guitar hero III for Wii.

Hi guys! Just fixed my 71 series! Amazing set. Found it in the garbage years ago lol second time I fixed this thing. First time I just needed to resolder a capacitor. (9$ fix!) This time a cable came loose. I reinforced it so it doesn't happen again.

Anyway, I lost my calibration settings when I was opening it up and I don't have my colormonkey anymore.
I have the 2004/1001 software/hardware and was wondering what the recommended calibration settings are for that. My room is darkish and I'm just trying to find the optimal settings so I can see things as the director or whoever wanted me to see it lol.

Appreciate any input! I've been testing a bunch of settings but I'm not sure what firmware those settings are meant for or based on. Hopefully someone can guide me up to spec here.

Wish I could help. I am probably one of a few still running w/ a 71 series. I never did calibrate it, but did adjust settings based on my preferences. Good luck and welcome back! I'm not getting rid of mine till it dies. 10 years old and counting!
