Mine looks like this probably because the tech locked the settings. Greyed out and no copy

A query on its remote: have anyone replaced it and if yes, what you went with.

My remote works fine except for the 'return' button, which has stopped working. It is getting a pain when watching netflix and youtube. I workaround using that viera small remote when I need to use the return function but think it might be best if I just get a new remote. Before I start googling it, I figured it might be best if I get the opinions - and guidance - of the more experienced members here.

Thanks!
I got my remote on Amazon.

If you the calibration settings you can load them into the custom picture mode on the other HDMI inputs.

It very well may have went away when Panny stopped making TVs for the US. My suggestion - pick up the cheapest Roku or Amazon Fire stick that will have several apps and work much better than the built in one.

Thanks for your suggestion, a firestick or other hdmi dongle is already in my amazon chart... ;-)

Anyway I live in Italy (EU), probably here the market is still alive? Or is there a way to jailbreak it?

Thanks

Well I just got my main board back for my TC-P65VT50. I'll be taking it to the AV shop to be installed tomorrow then hopefully home not long after. It lasted about 6 years then bang, no picture. It's funny you spend 6 grand on a TV and it just doesn't last. The picture is still great on it (for a 1080p) whether I'm watching a Blu-Ray or gaming. If this doesn't pan out then I'll be looking at a new OLED.

My 55VT50 (purchased in January 2013) has been having issues by occasionally switching from the Custom setting to the Cinema setting when I switch to the bluray player (Panasonic DMP-BDT220). It doesn't matter if I'm powering up equipment initially or switching from another source. Any ideas? I'll check to see if the bluray player settings haven't been affected somehow, but I hope the plasma isn't on its way out.

EDIT: All settings appear to be as previously set. Plasma panel has 18,887 hours.

Yeah that's weird, all of my inputs have stayed to what they were set to (custom, game, etc). I would double check each input and see what the picture setting is.

I've used HDMI 2 exclusively since I bought the TV. I may try another input, but it'll take a bit to get all my settings duplicated.

Well, Amazon has deemed our sets obsolete. I just got this.

Amazon will no longer be supporting the Prime Video app on your Panasonic TV as of September 26, 2019. We are continually upgrading our service and this occasionally means we can no longer support certain device models.

To help you to continue streaming your favorite content, we’re offering you a $25 credit towards select Fire TV devices which will allow you to continue to stream your favorites from Prime Video. To redeem, add a Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, or Fire TV Cube to your cart and enter the below promo code at checkout. This offer ends on November 1, 2019.

How did you receive this communications from Amazon? Through a message on the TV, through an email from Amazon? Just wondering how Amazon knew you were using the Prime Video App on the TV. I stream through it now but I have not seen this message yet.

using apps right off the display device has always been super clunky in my opinion

Hey guys, its been a LONG time. I've owned my VT50 for the 6.5 years and overall super happy with the purchase.

I do have a slight burn-in of the Pause icon from Dish Network, at some point I'll run a washing program and see if I can kill it.

I just purchased a Roku Streaming Stick+ and it appears the USB ports on the side of the TV do not provide enough power for the device.
Has anyone found a workaround? Could I get a "Y" connector and use 2 USB ports?

-Some people play hard to get, I play hard to want.

I don't know if many people will find this but, I got this USB Y Adapter from Amazon and it works great with the Roku Streaming Stick Plus.
I linked all my channels and watched 4 episodes of The Boys on Amazon Prime with no issues so far. It is nice to get that last visible cable (the old Roku) disconnected from the wall mounted TV.

So you haz M3 ?? I've driven dozens of them at various BMW CCA events (driving instructor). Favorite car ever (well until they added the turbos).

The Netflix app on our GT50 had stopped working some months back so i presumed Panasonic had dropped support of sumthin. Amazon was still working last time i checked, but not surprised that it's also going away.

So i've already weaned the wife off of the TV's internal apps and she's begrudgingly switched over to using our Roku Premiere Plus which works better anyway. She can operate every piece of medical equipment in her hospital's ER and ICU, but can't seem to master switching inputs on her TV LOL.
