Finally my S10 from germany arrived.. Seller said it was almost never used because the tv was in a guest room.. I mean this set looks like brand new.. Really factory brand new..

But look at the run hours.. I could not believe it..

Now I have 2 S10 Plasmas .. and I will sell the other one..
That's barely broken in! Incredible find.

Bought my Panasonic TC-P50G20 new in 2010. It has 25746.20 hours and 8623 power ons. Out of the many tv's in our house this one still has the best natural looking picture. It was used as my computer monitor for about 8 years along with it being the tv I watched movies and tv shows on. I really see no burn in or any other issues. These days it is being used in the living room and stays on most of the day to keep the dog company and gets watched in the evenings by the wife and me when not down in the man cave. In a couple of weeks it is going to be moved upstairs into the den for the wife to use once our son and his family move out and give us back our upstairs. It has been a great tv and will continue to be on for years to come it just does not do the 4k HDR stuff and that is why it was replaced as my main tv/monitor.

Such a short time to be there, such a long long time to be gone.

Panasonic TH50-PZ700U from 2007.

Time: 14,479
Count 15,615

Fans buzz a little under load, but otherwise TV works fine. We are cord cutters and no longer watch traditional broadcast TV. All media is streamed or from disc.

Panasonic TC60-ST50, bought it new in 2012.

Time: 12,026:40
Count: 4,971

I'm surprised the count is that low, honestly. I guess my babying it has paid off.

I don't have my hours, but I don't think anyone is going to beat me for the oldest plasma. I'm still rocking a Panasonic 4UY ED plasma, from 2001, in our family room.

Do I win?

I also have a 42FD9954 with the FTR9965 (Phillips 2003 42" 'Flat TV Plasma Pixel Plus' with the FlatTV Tuner Set Top Box option) I'll have to check the service menu to see hours.

The Phillips has just over 11k hours on it ... clearly hasn't been used much since the samsung was added.

Hey @Test Ickles (Great handle!)

I posted my pics above a few days ago. When will you update the leader board?

Suggestion... you could edit your first post of the thread and keep the updated leader board there.

Thx

I would like to make the leaderboard for 2013 60 series panasonic plasma's. Bought one of the last ones in 2014. I might need to burn some more fossil fuel to make the official cut though. Averaging nearly 10 hrs/day. Hope to check back in sometime 2020 to make the list.

It's been 2.5'ish years since my original post here and figured i'd share an update, Pioneer 5080HD (purchased Dec 2007) no problems to report and has retained great PQ over the years!

I'm not sure if the 99999 MTB reading has hit a wall or if just luck of the draw when checking hours tonight lol (I'll check it again in the near future).

I have two sets I want to check. Any guidance on how to determine the number of hours for these?

Just bought a Pioneer Kuro Pro-151FD...
Fully Calibrated... The seller promised low hours. I was finally able to check and....
116 total panel hours. It does have 3441 on the PON counter, so I don't know what's going on there.

You won't make any leader boards with that but that is certainly a time capsule type find. Not sure if pon counter is times on and off or time plugged in.
