These 2008 Pannys seem to go a long time and some not. I talk my Mother in Law into a TX-50PX80u I think it was and it still works. I have a 2008 on my list that I talked my brother in law into and the power supply went out at 4900 hrs. He gave it to me and I fixed it. Still have it

Nice! Can you help out the other LG owners on how to check hrs? There was a post earlier asking how to check.

Purchased in December of 2009 Panasonic TC-P50G10
Build date: November 2009
Time: 10,849 hrs
Count(on/off): 6154
Added PMCv2 add on board for improved black levels. Works like its brand new.
At this rate, it will be several years before upgrading. Very happy

I used the wrong method on my PNC63C7000 and it reset my counter. I'll never know how much it truly has. Kind of bummed about that.

Put a PMCV2 on my TX-50PZ85U. Great product. Audiodane is going to run out someday. He's not making anymore. 2008-2010 Panny owners need to get one before it's too late.

I like that this way is a quick one and doesn't reset anything....that service menu can be dangerous

I tried the mute-7-3-7 method some are using which does not appear to do the reset on it but it did not work. Needless to say this particular TV rarely got turned off until being relegated to the bedroom.

I also wanted to check the hrs on our Samsung 64H5000 which is one of the last models produced but could not get the mute-7-3-7 to work on it either.

mute-7-3-7-enter only works with the tv's speakers enabled on my 8500.

Andy, you are hitting enter as well at the end?

Timing of the sequence is a bit finicky, I usually need a couple tries for it to work. I just need the tv on, no particular settings fwiw....

That was it, I overlooked the "enter" DOH!!!

The Sammy 64H5000 already has 13000 on it.

Unfortunately it does not work on the old Sammy
