PIONEER KURO Pro 150 FD HELP

I found a good condition Kuro the other day and bought it, was not able toa ccess the menu as owner did not have more but the pictures hooked up on HDMI seemed good. I want to be able to use this for regular over the air broaadcast channels but I can't seem to do it with the buttons on the side ( I know with certain tv's you can do this in a pinch). Does anyone know the model of the remote for this model or a compatible remote that can be used? Also does it have an auto program mode to scan for channels within menu? I was able to open the TV guide menu with the side buttons but that didn't really have any options to scan on it's own. If someone knows otherwise and it is something I can do with the onboard buttons then that's all I raelly need. Appreciate all your help. I'm loving the pictures from the TV, beautiful color and the blacks that people rave about I'm seeing a difference for the first time compared to my current LCD

You can download the operating manual online. That should tell you how to use the side buttons to access menus etc, and will probably have the model number of the remote (i imagine pretty much all Pioneer TV remotes will work though).

You could also buy a cheap Harmony universal remote which will have all the Pioneer codes.

Thanks Walt, I was able to download the manual online but the menus accessed via the buttons are really limited. I'll go the route of the universal and see what happens. You mentioned Harmony is that a brand and where are they readily available?

Harmony makes a lot of different remotes, and older cheaper more basic ones are available used on eBay etc. All of them should have Pioneer codes in their databases.

There are a LOT of threads for the various Harmony remotes in the Remote Forum:

The PRO150HD came with the AXD1549 remote (you should be able to verify this with the TV's documentation or by online vendors etc) and if so you might be able to find a used one on eBay or one of the remote control companies like this one.
