I know they are close but if I am correct the 6020FD/5020FD's have worse black levels than the last gen panny's correct?

(To be clear the 5020fd/6020fd's are the same tv's as the lx5090/lx6090's right? And if so should I run into any trouble using a 6020fd in Europe?)
just buy it

Can anyone lend the Service Remote? My Kuro 141FD’s boards have been replaced by a local shop. They don’t have the remote to finish some final updates. Help

Damn. I wish i had a proper camera to take pictures. Was watching GoT S3 last night on bluray and i've never seen this show look this good. The detail and texture on the clothing and face close ups, the unbelievable saturated realistic colors that have many subtle tones and variations, the environment detail. This TV is 10 years old.......

I have a 75" samsung lcd in the main living room for basic viewing and I still have a Pioneer 6010fd in the basement that still looks fantastic. 7.1 setup with that thing makes blu-rays a joy.

2019 and current 4K oled is still a problem.

Purchased a Panasonic gz2000 65”
Visible line across the screen after 2 weeks.
Banding in hdr
Overall the uniformity has improved but
When watching back on my other TV sets pioneer krp and Samsung s9c true rgb oled the uniformity is still not on the same level. Whites has a slight tint to them(gz2000).

I compared it to a 2013 Samsung rgb oled and the colours in some scenes don’t look pure like they do on the rgb oled.
They seem diluted on some scenes. Overall still doesn’t look pure and warm like a rgb oled. Just having Good uniformity makes the picture better than any current 4K oled.
It is now returned. And that’s the best 4K oled when compared to Sony af9 and LG.
I blame the white filters.
Still prefer Pioneer natural warm picture with great motion.
I’ve lived with most oleds since 2013 and LG manufactured oled all behave in the same manner even with Panasonic and Sony’s great processing the panels have inherent issues.

I’ve had the true rgb oled since 2013 and it’s behaved in a manner like my plasma has. Great uniformity acceptable motion. Good accurate colour. No tints on whites. No banding. Near black is sublime. And the LG oleds I’ve had seem to all have horrible grey uniformity. Out of box colour is poor. Just the screen having uneven brightness puts me off.

I have an LG B6 and uniformity is perfect, there is also no colour tinting at all.
Also, calibrated the colours on the OLED are amazing.
That is the reason I have not upgraded as I know I am lucky in that regard.

My LCD experience is the Sony XE93 and the XF90, really like it, but still have the traits LCDs inherently come with.

However, I now have some screen burn (I know it is actually the red pixels wearing quicker rather than burn) where the new ticker tape has been.

I only watch for an hour each day, or maybe less, but the fact is, with OLED if you watch the same thing you will get a burn effect, doesn't matter what you do, as you rack the hours up it will happen. It isn't like plasma where if you watch other material it will get rid of it, it is simply the wear rate of the RGB pixels is different.

My B6 is now what? 4 years old, nothing I can do about it.

There are no red subpixels with LG WOLEDs.. They only have 4 white Oled subpixels.. They where off all the same..

Well, whatever it is, oput up a red slide and you will see wear.

Yellow on screen wears it out far quicker.

There is a really long thread on the UK avforums discussing this. Lots of people have the issue of a burn like effect, always from yellow logos on screen and seen with a red slide.

I may have worded it incorrectly, but it is not burn in the same way you get burn with plasma, and there is nothing you can do other than not watch certain material.

That's why OLED is out for us unless it's dedicated to movies. My plasma has burn-in from various tickers and it drives me crazy on movies.

The white screen swiper is IMO the best way to deal with image retantion on Plasma Tvs..

I have done this two or three times in the past. Didn't really do anything, the one I used was slightly different but same concept

It’s not always burn in. It loses colour volume quick which leaves splotches that look like screen burn but it’s not. I’ve seen it on oleds only 1 year old.
