I searched the best I could and couldn't find an answer, so I thought this would be the best place to post.

I have a TH-50PZ80U and would like to connect my computer to it. My computer only has a VGA connection that the monitor is connected to. The TV has HDMI, S-Video, and RCA connections.

Could someone please provide detailed instructions (including required equipment) for my particular situation that will allow me to connect my computer to my TV?

Thanks,

Scott

wrong thread. All the 700 & 750's have a VGA input. You need to find the 80u thread somewhere.

Edit: try here https://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...hlight=50pz80u

New Owner

So I know it's 2019, but the best tv I ever had is this Plasma. I honestly dont need an OLED.

Who still owns this tv? what problems have you faced?

Thanks!

Still have mine and use it everyday. Recently we have noticed a blue vertical line appears after the tv heats up in the right upper corner. Unfortunately I think a new set is in my future. I will be very sad to see this set go I’m still not convinced that many newer set can match this picture.

I still have my 58" Panny plasma. Best TV ever purchased. Who knew it would last this long running at least 8 hrs. per day. I long for a 77" OLED so am now wondering if this plasma will ever die! Not one problem since purchased.

Actually there are several Panny Plasmas that will outperform the PZ700U (i used to have one) if you'd rather spend a few hundred bucks for a used Plasma instead of buying a brand new current model LCD or OLED TV.

Models that beat the PZ700U are the PZ80U/PZ85U/PZ800U, The G20/G25/VT25, ST30/VT30, ST50/GT50/VT50, and S60/ST60/VT60/ZT60. You can sometimes find these used on Craigslist for under a few hundred bucks.
