HDMI audio extractor issues

Hi Guys
Hoping you can help!!!

So I have a older projector which is an InFocus P820 and i'm trying to connect in playstation 4/Apple tv/foxtel etc.
Now when each source unit is connected directly i get the picture no problem however in order to get audio i need to break out the audio from the HDMI signal to allow it to be connected to amp/speakers
So in the line i have inserted a Concord HDMI Audio Extractor which allows the audio to be heard however i lose the picture???
This is the same for all the devices so it must be something to do with the HDMI audio extractor. I have tried 2 types from Jaycar and both will not allow the picture to be viewed

Any thoughts on what the issue could be?

Projector is run from the ceiling to a wall connection which i assume would be a cable run of around 7m

Help please on how to get pic and audio working at same time, have tried all combination of settings and configurations with no joy and now pulling what little hair i have left out!!!

Thanks in advance for any help

It sounds like the audio extractor is outputting EDID from an inbuilt table rather than passing the Projector EDID to the Source - if the extractor is telling the Source to output a video format the Projector can’t handle you will get no image (and usually a message to that effect on screen).

If your Sources allow you to force them to reboot in a low resolution mode give that a try.
