HDMI hand shake issue 2017 Nvida Shield + Integra AVR + LG C8

I have my 2017 Shield connected to my Integra AVR on the Stream port and a single HDMI connection to my LG

When I select the the Stream port, the LG goes blue, then I turn on the Shield and the LG reports "No Signal"

I switch to another port, (PC) then back and the Shield UI pops up.

Switching the Shield to another port (eg Game), same result.

Cables are not an issue. I do not use CEC or ARC for control, and I rechecked all. I have optical cable back from the LG to the AVR.

If I connect the Shield from Stream HDMI port to the HDMI extender, the Shield turns on / off and back on with ZERO issues.

I contacted Integra and they "suggested" that HDMI was set up to be used directly between the Source, and Display, with nothing in between, and they have seen issues..

I have also done searches and found hits.

One thought would be to move the Shield to another HDMI port on the TV, but would prefer to stick with the the Shield connected to the AVR. Cabling, power etc Another is to try a 2019 Shield Any ideas on what I can check or change to correct this.

I have also tried (based on suggestions) none worked:
Leave the Shield ON, never sleep
Under advanced audio, HDMI warm noise enabled and disabled

I welcome any ideas / suggestions

How long is the cable run and what are you trying to push?

The most reliable HDMI connection is a single cable, source to sink, with no wall plates, adapters, or extenders in-between. This is especially true if you are trying to push 4k HDR over distances longer than about 20'.

Have you connected the Shield directly to the C8, bypassing the avr to rule out any problems with the avr? I have a C8 and all of my peripherals go thru the avr first and then off to the C8. No issues.
