The added external Bluetooth receiver makes listening to music from mobile sources extremely easy and of course these speakers sound wonderful, I’m still very happy with everything.

Very nice. An acoustic panel along that right side wouldn’t hurt

Yea, I’m sure the side wall doesn’t do me any favors
My seating is a little less than 8’ away and I lack the golden ears anyway so it works well enough as is until I can move everything to a better location.

Tell me about it. I’m crammed in on the left wall, but the panel helped more than I thought

Vey nice! I bet that somehow the Admiral unit isn't seeing too much action.

Have you tried just pointing the LS50's straight ahead? I had a similar set-up (mine are on stands now) and found that when toed-in at close quarters the soundstage shrunk to tiny with little margin for where my head could be without making it sound out-of-balance. Pointing them straight ahead really opened-up the soundstage and calmed the last vestiges of sharp from the tweeters.

Added Philips hue light strip to my rack. Still enjoying the hell out of spinning records again. Finally shipped my Carver amp out for repair. Hopefully it’ll be back by Christmas. Can’t wait to get her back.

Do the soundstage change after you adding a center large size subwoofer? I am thinking of either buying a larger single DB2D or a pair of DB4S subwoofer right now...

No the soundstage didn’t really change per se. On stereo mixes the music still has the same width and depth and placement of specific instruments. I’m just getting a lot more low frequencies now which really fills the void so everything is richer and fuller sounding. But your experience may vary. It all depends on the specifics of your room and how you integrate the various components into your system. Speaker position is very important but so is harmony with everything else. People usually have a better experience with 2 or even 4 subs as you can better address room nodes with multiple subs. It takes a little more money and space to integrate multiple subs but most people prefer the end result. For me right now I’m content with just the one sub.

In my setup, the central position between the two bookshelf speakers was the best compromise. I ran the Elac Sub Control app Auto EQ function. Then I did all my usual room measurements and DRC filter creation with Dirac. With the sub volume where I have it set now (62/100) the bass is not localized at all. It blends well with the main stereo speakers from my main listening position.

In my system changes to the Dirac target curve and frequency curtains have a much bigger effect on soundstage than adding the sub. But the sub and Dirac both have a big effect on the overall sound. I wouldn’t want one or the other. Both are necessary to achieve my preferred sound output.
