I thought maybe some of y'all could recommend for instance a diffusion panel at the first reflection point of the missing wall, or heavy absorption at the present wall. Or perhaps even some fancy non-linear time domain DSP or room correction I am un aware of.
I didn't contradict myself. One statement says it's impossible to EQ out reflections.

The other says EQ can help create a flat response by reducing the signal sent (at a given frequency) to a speaker due to a peak caused by a reflection. Doesn't mean the reflection doesn't exist and does mean you are still hearing an off axis response due to the reflection in the first place.

Im no enthusiasm for a systematic debate

However, it is plainly obvious that "apply EQ" was not a good answer to the original question I posed

I never simply said "apply EQ". If you're not in the mood, 1. Don't reply and 2. Don't summerize what I said incorrectly. I answered the questions I quoted on.

This is the reference post, which i responded sarcastically to which you "explained" to me. At no point did I say that was your opinion. But it is the original sentiment that I disagreed with.

Its not that Im not in the mood to argue semantics. Its that your contradiction is completely explicit in the text I quoted earlier. If you don't agree, fine. Its in the text for readers to interpret at their will.

Ha! That's not even me. Look at the user name....
It's nice to see that this is all in text, as you stated.

I added to my previous post just before I left to come to work to include acoustics, but I must not have hit send. As you are in no mood for a semantic argument, you can work it out for yourself. Here's hint: think about what yo do above and below Schroeder.

I hear you man, I'm in the same camp that will never pay retail price on any cables for that matter because once I was in manufacturing industry, I know how much really cost to make them in the factory.

Mine is not that bad, right wall is 1.5ft and left wall is 2.5ft from the speakers, I just can't show the left wall in the pictures for privacy reason only.

Nice Klipsch speakers but I think all the bells you were playing was payback for some sin I committed in a past life. Even in that video my ears hurt from the horn tweeters.

I hope one day you can audition a very refined ribbon if you haven't already. I know you really like dynamics in a tweeter, but a ribbon like the RAAL is very dynamic and is just something that needs to be heard.

I will say that these SF Venere speakers you now have are surely an eye catcher. Buy more speakers please!
I do have two Martin Logan Abyss and Dynamo(Original) subwoofers but for time being I will be enjoying as it because I have 2 pair of lower end JBL towers coming in for youtube demo, I have to make room for them.

One day I will try RAAL tweeters for sure but knowing me I'm more interested in Tekton Pendragon like speakers for my music listening. More speakers coming for sure.. Thanks

KJ,

May I just ask you...why do you keep your gear in your signature hidden? There's absolutely nothing in that setup that you should be "ashamed" of...

Just habit. I'm a moderator on forums where people routinely get chewed out for having multi-line signatures, so I tend to practice what I'm told to preach. I figure if people are interested, they'll click on the spoiler tag, and if they aren't, it's out of the way.

To make this relevant, here's a pic of my Motion 60XT (left - center channel) which I received a couple days ago. That is a Motion 40 to the right. Debating on getting another 60XT and using them for 2-channel and moving a Motion 40 to center duty for HT.

Sorry, this is a multi purpose setup, so it's not dedicated to stereo.

Taken iPhone 6S.

Not too far from where I was.

Yeah, especially with the prices in Japan! Living there was certainly dangerous for an electronics junkie. I had to sell off what little stuff I had, too, due to incompatibility in the States, but wish I had kept a few things.

Hey everyone, Long time reader first time poster. There are so many great looking systems on this thread! I wish I could listen to them all.

I recently bought a house with a bonus room to put my system in. The room dimensions kinda suck (15x16x8) but I'm hoping I can make it work with good speaker placement and treatments. I still need to hang the treatment and buy furniture because the empty room doesn't pass the clap test at all. I also have some cheap diffusers on the way.

My equipment:

Speakers - B&W CM8 S2
Sub - B&W ASW10CM S2
Simaudio Moon Neo 340i Integrated Amp
Analysis Plus Oval 12 cables

I'll post more pictures once I have the room completed. Thanks for looking.
