Lots of GTG's coming up. Probably a good idea to coordinate and spread them out.

So @hd0823 . whens the GTG?

@Kevin4730 How much of your money would we have to spend if you have the GTG in April?

Im jonesing to have e GTG at my place. I'll have my BMR's, a pair of Dennis's AAM's, a few nice amps, too many speaker stands.....

Can we do two in April? I mean technically one is two channel and the other is home theater so they are different...

I promise, no taco bar this time. That didnt go as well as I planned lol.

@brian6751 it sounds like you have all the 2-channel gear. So, makes sense to let you host.

Aww damn. GTG cancelled! J/k

It didn’t? I thought the nachos were quite awesome. But then again, probably messy as hell for you to have to clean up.

I loved the nacho bar. But all I need is chips and nacho cheese with jalapeños. Yummy.

I’m sure I polished some of that off last time. Never a bad taco bar IMO

What is everybodys take on doing a blind amplifier comparison?

I have too many amps but cannot decide which one to keep. Im torn between a NAD C368 and a Peachtree Audio Nova300. I thought it may be fun to do a little blind test with some amps. Same source. Same DAC, Same speakers. Anyone have experience doing this? Im not sure how to organize it.

Im thinking we could have those two amps plus my Denon 4520 and maybe another one if somebody wanted to bring something? A tube amp would be cool to throw in there.

What do you guys think?

Great idea. But we have to make certain the source is the same and that the amps are EXACTLY gain matched.

Yep. Source would be the same and the amps would all be level matched with a spl meter beforehand for sure. That part is easy since we will use the same speakers. I would make a playlist in Roon to keep the source the same. And then it would go through the same DAC. We would just have to move the DAC output and speaker leads from amp to amp. Wont be an instant ABC comparison. More like listen to the same couple tracks on each amp then move to the next. Not perfect but should still be interesting.
