Subscribed! If you host this one I’ll have more time to stall on mine. Finished a midterm today and squeezing in some wedding planning stuff this weekend isn’t letting me get very far on my HT

I'm currently building two speaker designs for my girlfriend's cousins. Depending on when we end up doing this I might be able to bring both. Matt Grant's (aka MTG90) Nexus MTMWW, and Paul Carmody's Swope MTM.

I figure we can have a little fun experiment with a couple controversial 2 channel topics about wires and cables. I have network, interconnect, and speaker cables ranging from cheapo budget bin to pretty nice Audioquest stuff. I thought it would be interesting to swap them out and get everyones opinions.

Best example I have is speaker cables. I have Audioquest Type-4, SVS Soundpath, and just Monoprice 12awg with bananas on it.

Yes I buy Audioquest cables. I like to throw Crutchfield a bone now and then because they are awesome. Plus they are just really nice cables and I like my 2 channel setup to be matchy-matchy cuz Im audio-snobby like that

I'm sensing a lot of pressure.....

Unfortunately, the Dayton Audio SD215A-88 needed for the Project Nexus is backordered until 4/27 so I won't be finished with them until then. The rest of the parts for both speakers came in yesterday though, so I'll hopefully be able to have the swopes done end of month and cabinets for the Nexus at least cut. I'm going to make the crossovers for both this week. Then I'm hoping it warms up enough and dries up enough for a day that I can make some quality sawdust.

I can wait till May for the GTG. No problem!

I really want to hear both those speakers so I think it would be worth the wait

Was showing my friend around from out of town yesterday and brought him to midtown. If Shinola watches aren’t your thing, you can now get their audio line...here’s a $2,500 turntable paired with $1,500 speakers

I'm not a fan of the Klipsch tweeter last time I heard the towers. I have wanted to get my hands on the midbass drivers they use though and pair it with something better.
