Just went CABLE crazy this weekend!

Decided to make a ton of tweaks to my system this weekend. My system is currently down at the moment as i'm returning a MF Nuvista 800 to the dealer. It turned out to be a bit of a lemon unfortunately and even had some physical damage to the chassis. I'm getting some upgrades on my Perla Audio integrated instead so I'm currently using a 20 year old Denon integrated amp at 15 wpc to power Sopra 2's for a few weeks, LOL.

New cables on the way:

Speaker: Art Audio SC 5-SE
Power: Art Audio Power 1 SE
USB: Analysis Plus Purple Plus USB
Ethernet (streamer and server): Audioquest Cinnamon

Also a few room / speaker tweaks:

New speaker footers - Isoacoustics GAIA II

And perhaps my favorite at all, two 24x48 diffusor panels to go up on the front wall flanking the speakers. These guys seem to do an amazing job: https://www.etsy.com/listing/5762421...op_home_feat_4

Now to patiently wait for that integrated amp to return to me as all the goodies start arriving.....ugh!

.....When the audiophile parades before his subjects in his new "gear", no one in the hi-fi store dares to say that they do not hear any differences in sound for fear that they will be seen as stupid. Finally a child in the store cries out, "But there isn't any difference at all!" The customers then realize the assertion is true, but continue to pretend to hear sonic differences.

Save your money.

Probably not much other than peace of mind, and I liked the looks of it.

That seems extreme, I think I’m going to queue up 18,604 tracks and evaluate the sound after.

What happened to that audiophile quality Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 800 integrated amplifier you raved about?

Transformer started buzzing and the sound got very slow and mushy after a few weeks. Not sure if problem with one of the tubes or what was going on. I returned it to the dealer.

Can't you get a replacement? If the amp is that nice and you liked it, why not just keep it?

Just got soured by the whole experiment. There was also some dings in the top mesh plate that I didn't see in my living room with the lights dimmed. The dealer's response was to take the top off and try to pop them out......uh no thanks, not for that price. If he tries to screw me on the return I'll be sure to name names

At the end I plugged my integrated back in went "ah yes, this is more like it". So I decided to stay with Perla Audio for electronics and keep the tubes out of my system. I'm getting a newer/special version of their Signature 50 that has both and active/passive linestage, balanced inputs, a volume readout, and all Mundorf caps.

You have got to be kidding me? That is reprehensible. After all that money you spent with them. Was this a local retail store or online?

I thought so too, not a good experience. This place is a retail shop (not local) that also does online business.

An unlocal retail store that also does online "business" is one of the worst! Especially if you purchase used equipment.
(Unless... one is looking for "deal" to turn it around for a modest profit. )
