Checked ability to simultaneously play digital source from my UBS/flash drive. No problem. Sends a signal just fine. So it appears it just the HDMI inputs that I am unable to play via the pre-outs.

Am I at a dead end on this?

5.1: Power - Denon 4308ci, Fronts - Def Tech BP9040's, Center - Def Tech CLR 2000, Surrounds - Def Tech PM1000's, Sub's - Rythmik E15HP x2, Display - Panasonic TC-55AS530U, TT - Rega Planar 2 w/ Dynavector 10x5

You may be limited to streaming HiRes music by connecting a smart phone/tablet directly to the Dynaudio speakers. There should be a compatible input. Purchasing powered speakers has given you some direct connect options.

Of course there is always Bluetooth as well...

Correct.

I can connect additional devices to the Xeo's via 3.5mm or T'link. And can also BT wirelessly as well. I just wont be able to stream the same source to both zones I guess unless I connect some other device to the Denon without using HDMI?

Maybe my phone connected to the Denon? I'll try that with the AUX connections on the front.

The way my old Marantz prepro described it in the manual, paraphrased, "Not all incoming digital sources (coax, Toslink, HDMI) will travel to the zone out so you should use analog inputs instead. . . There may be exceptions for 2ch. PCM sources in some instances." My main HDMI source of use was my Dolby Digital 5.1 Comcast DVR, so I was out of luck.

They seem to get better at giving us universal capability as time goes on. My recent Yamaha is much more friendly on incoming digital sources in 5.1 traveling simultaneously in 2ch stereo analog outs to the extra zone room.

You may need to find a streaming device that will connect via RCA inputs. Or... an AVR upgrade. Most newer AVR have Internet music streaming built in.

Yea, I suspect this is where I'm at. It's not that important to me to upgrade the AVR. I can play my TT in both zones and that was the primary goal.

Thank you both for helping out!
