First monitor PC purchase 2.1

I listen to alot of music, movies, and games from my desktop. I am looking for a nice set of speakers and possible sub for my gaming desktop. I was looking at the Klipsch r-15pm but wasn't sure if there is something better out there for about the same price. Sub I'm not sure about. I am open to suggestions for the system. For reference I have all Klipsch r speakers in my theater room with a 15in powernsound sub. I'd like to stay well under 1k if possible but am willing to bend for a good deal.

I’d go for something like this:

Topping D30 DAC > SVS SB-2000 > JBL 305P Mk. II

The SVS sub has a 80Hz high pass filter so you can integrate your bookshelves easily without dedicated bass management. It’s compact and will work great in nearfield for your needs.

The JBLs are very accurate and the top performer in their price range, you’d have to step up a good bit in price to find something better.

The Topping DAC is a great value option, it measures well and will do everything you need.

5.1: Samsung PN60F5300 | Sony BDP-S1700 | Denon AVR-1713 | EMP E55Ti | EMP E56Ci | EMP E5Bi | Outlaw Ultra-X12

2.0: Oppo DV-980H | Apple Airport Express | Topping D30 | Parasound HCA-1500a | Chane A1.4

I assume this is going to be hooked up to a computer? What do you foresee needing Bluetooth for? It’s a poor source of audio in terms of quality, I’d try and avoid that.

The Klipsch had multiple hook up option which I liked, but I'm also on a deployment so it's getting used where I'm at and then coming back home. Normally it'll be hooked up to probably my laptop or tv but I wanted to have options. Mainly it'll be music, movies, gaming.

You can always pick up a Chromecast Audio to add WiFi streaming to any stereo. They are discontinued now but still available.

The bass is adequate for their size, but you’d have a very good SVS SB-2000 handling the low end.

If you want adequate bass, you will have to go with a sub. The SB-2000 is about as compact as it gets, it’s basically a 15” cube.

I would give audioengine a look. They have wireless/wired speakers. If the SB-2000 bugs you in size, there are smaller subs out there. Given it's a desk system a 12" sub seems a bit much. audioengine also makes an 8" sub. Velodyne has a few models at 8" as well. (The mini vee is 10"x10"x12" with an 8" driver)

What do you think about the RSL Speedwoofer? Also, how would I go about connecting the 2 monitors and the the sub together to my computer? I looked at the dac you listed but I don't understand how that would work.
