Wow; you stop posting for a while...and you guys, break the Internet
I'm surprised, the mods...didn't suggest; perhaps we cut down on the album-art pics. Or, at least...reduce and cap the size.
I'm not sure, how much I'll get back to posting; maybe just to share something "special"...but I'll do my part.
Now...I'm obsessed, with Woodstock as it is; so...the new 50th Anniversary completest
release: 38CDs, 432 tracks (ALL but 3, from the entire festival), 267 previously unreleased. Is a sweet package.
Sure...there's a reason, the festival has never before; been released, to this degree. I'm not sure, how much interest...there really
is; in listening to the likes of Sweetwater, Bert Sommer, Tim Hardin. And...admittedly; the producers of this set...even conceded, some of the audio
, was really "un-salvageable". But...sonics should come second; to preserving a historic document like this. And...a) they said, once they realized they couldn't
clean it up...by modern standards; they decided to kinda take the opposite approach. Do no harm; and leave it kinda raw...on purpose. B) It really, isn't un-listenable
...by any stretch. I've heard, commercial Live releases...from this time period, and later; sound a helluva lot worse.
If you're into this kinda thing...I doubt you're going "wow; it's like being there man. Except I wish the high-end was a little more extended". There's probably, another "high-end"...you're more concerned with, lol
In any case; that's what I've been listening to...
