For what value of "best?" What's your budget? What devices are you using? Local music or all streamed? Are you planning on using the 2160's DAC? You do know wifi and bluetooth aren't interchangeable, right?

Short list off the top of my head would be the Bluseound Node 2i, the Sonos Port if you don't need high res or the Cambridge CXN v2 if you want something that looks like a normal component.

I’m looking for something in the $250 to $500 range. This is to stream from iTunes and Amazon Prime. An iOS app to control everything would be nice. I’m currently using my Yamaha’s Music Cast app and I like it. So something similar in functionality would be nice. I’d be streaming from my iPhone, iPad and laptop but mostly from my iPhone.

I use Sonos and the app is nice, especially since they have tablet and desktop apps as well so I can control them from anywhere. Some companies only have phone apps. I don't have experience with the Bluesound system but maybe look for youtube videos that review it and show the interface. I'd say for your budget the Sonos Port and Bluesound Node 2i are pretty much the best options especially with iTunes since they both support Airplay 2.

edit: I just remembered one hardware difference is that Sonos doesn't support Bluetooth while the Node 2i does. not sure that's worth $150 when you can get a separate BT dongle for $50 and connect it directly to your receiver.
