marantz NR1200 users?

I may have the model wrong...looking for users of the stereo receiver with pre-outs from marantz. is it any good? or should I stick with my high dollar older Cary Audio pre ? im going to use external amps no matter what.

I have it but I do not use pre-outs. I like it but I do not have much experience to compare it with anything.

I was looking for something inexpensive, stereo but at the same time being able to connect all stuff around TV: Xbox One X, Nintendo Switch (both for my son), NVIDIA Shield, and be able to listen to the music. I also needed a relatively slim device to fit into the cabinet. At the end of the day this was the only one.

From other threads I've seen discussing it the only major caveat seems to be that the pre-outs are always full frequency range, so even if you have a subwoofer it will not cross them over. If you're using the pre-outs you can easily use a MiniDSP for that anyway.
