I generally agree but knowing that why did you say (in the other thread) you planned on digitizing your vinyl using 24/96? Won't that be overkill and a needless increase in file size for no perceptibly good reason?

Yeah, thinking back that's correct as no one was ever able to tell when I digitised 16/44. Just my recording software's standard setting that I use for testing etc and parroted the number without thinking about it.
However I still have gobs of space on the server, so file size is not really relevant to me.
