Yes - well worth the commitment to view all 13 episodes.

Notice big difference in picture quality. Native app in my Sony 930e looks great, not so much on my Apple TV app-very washed out. What would be the proper settings on the Apple TV? Also just swapped out cables to I think black web 4k cables. Could it be the cables?

I thought How It Ends was meh at best. And it's 4K but NOT in HDR. Why Netflix, why?

Well, I'll admit a guest appearance by the cast of "Z Nation" could have spiced it up some, but, for what it was, it was what it was and I liked it .. not loved, but liked ..

''Tis true. The cast of Z Nation will elevate any show/movie. Really looking forward to the new season. With that said, this movie had no payoff. It clumsily plodded along and then just ended. Lol.

Reminded me of "These Final Hours" which was on Netflix until recently. They must've pulled it to avoid confusion and it was a better end-of-the-world movie.

The first episode of "Sacred Games" was pretty good and having been to India I enjoyed it and hoped that Bollywood might have gotten over their "kitsch" era. Unfortunately the next few episode said they haven't.

I'm guessing the writers of "How it Ends" studied Netflix's January release "Open House", for tips on how not to bother with an ending.

I liked it right up till that non ending. Can't wait until to sequel. "How It Ends II: Still No Ending".

Dazed and confused over high tech.

Looking at the "what's coming" lists for Netflix is that they're beginning to look like the reason we cut the cable in the first place. I'm finding better stuff elsewhere.

I don't but the concern is from watching their demographic shift which journalists and analysts have also been raising concerns about. They have been spending money like crazy and on series that haven't turned out to do so well. You have a bunch of movie and TV people going wild over Silicon Valley money.

Your points are well taken, made me think of the shows I've watched lately - How It Ends and Extinction. Neither was particularly good and I wondered how long Netflix can continue to spend so much money on borderline entertainment.

Couple of documentaries I found worthwhile ::

"The Redeemed and the Dominant: Fittest on Earth"

"All the Queen's Horses"

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but "The Cloverfield Paradox" was not bad ..

Got through the first 3 episodes of OITNB last night .. the show just seems like it's going so much more in a darker direction .. while still OK, it seems to be running the final course of it's cycle with me anyway .. the intro scenes of Episode One were just tough to get engaged with, you'd think the Producers would want the intro of a new season to just suck a viewer in better than what this did .. maybe things will pick up ..

I got to see Netflix money spent locally to film the second season of "13 Reasons Why". I'm not the target audience so I thumbnailed through episodes to find scenes shot locally including one I watched being shot. It was good extra pay for off duty cops and security people.

I actually liked How It Ends except for.... how it ends and I found Extinction mildly interesting.

As far as borderline crappy shows, they're definitely out there, but there's just so much content, that only a few shows need to be good to more than fill up all the free time I have watching TV.

Ozark S2, Outlander S3 and Homeland S6 alone will be enough to keep me busy for August

I'm enjoying Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and I would have never seen it had it not been available on Netflix. Mr. Sunshine is another example.

We have found Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee to be a great "filler" for gaps between other shows and movies. Short, usually entertaining, and often interesting and/or funny.

The Toys that Made Us is a whole lot of fun, especially if you're old like me. An interesting tease-anyone have any idea what the REAL inspiration for Barbie was? Check out the episode. It's hilarious.

"How It Ends" also reminded me of "Trigger Effect".

I'm noticing that Instantwatcher is falling behind. I wonder what that's about?

The Rover (2014) - set in the Australian outback. Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson. Set in a future dystopian society. A violent but thought provoking film.
