Question Netflix Example Short 23.976 - only up to 10Khz. Excessive distortion beyond 7Khz.

Has anyone used these Example Short video clips from Netflix that allow you to see the bandwidth, resolution quality etc.. ? I am asking because I am experiencing two issues with it and was wondering if anyone else has the same issues ? I am using Netflix on my Sony BDP-S6500 bluray and Apple TV.

There is an audio test(sweep) embedded in the video clip for each channel and the voiceover says its from 200hz to 20Khz but I when measure using a sound level meter app that has frequency display (fft) I can see that it gtoes upto 10Khz only. Can anyone else confirm that ?

Another problem is that after about 7Khz there is excessive distortion. The tone sounds very scratchy and choppy (like a bad voip connection). Which means audio content above 7Khz must be coming through with high distortion when watching regular programming ? I dont hear it with regular programming like movies etc though. Can anyone else confirm this too ?

Perhaps these issues are just with these clips and not in real programming.
My internet connection is super fast and solid, audio if not high-end is very good quality (Maratnz SR7007 and Usher speakers) and all other video/audio performance is great.
