Keeping an eye on data caps

With more and more streaming, people will be hitting data caps. I think this might be a good thread to start. Maybe some good hints on monitoring and limiting data usage.

And an article about it to start it off:

Binge-watching Netflix, Disney+? You may have to pay extra for all of that Baby Yoda

If you have autoplay enabled on your Netflix or Amazon Prime account, listen up: it could cost you hundreds of dollars a year if you’re not careful.

We have no data caps from Comcast, Optimum/Altice, or Verizon which are the three major providers in New Jersey. I also believe the entire tri-state region is data cap free. It's a major selling point in cable advertising along with speed which usually starts at 200 mbps.
The exception is Verizon, which starts at 100.

"Internet provider Comcast noticed and informed the Seattle area residents at the end of last month that they had used up 90% of their monthly data allowance." How many choices do they have for internet providers? I bet I know the answer! This data cap stuff is nonsense. I don't know how they justify it with a straight face.

Make me grow brainiac fingers, but with more hair!
