There's no reason at all why 5G can't be used for "TV" and such. The biggest downside to 5G is the need for many more cell towers due to the small wavelength.

Wireless will always have issues with limited bandwidth, allowing companies to impose data caps and hefty overage fees. Cable/fiber is much wider to begin with, and technology can expand it over time. And it's generally not affected by weather (try using high-frequency 5G in a rainstorm...)

with 4G brought youtube and facetime and skype. 5G I'm hoping with take it to the next level.
