Need Help: ESPN Blurry streaming from PC but not on IPAD

I don’t get it! I have a PC hard wired to the network getting 50 Mbps. The PC is connected by HDMI to my home theater receiver. From the receiver there is HDMI to my HDTV. When I stream ESPN through a web browser the picture goes from perfect to blurry when the action speeds up or slows down. If the action/movement is high it is more blurry. If there is a break in the action the picture is perfect.

If I stream the same thing on my iPad the image is perfect.

I even streamed both of them at the same time and the PC was blurry and the iPad was perfect.

If I stream Netflix/Hulu or anything else with the same configuration it is great.

Does anybody have any ideas why this would be? Does ESPN throttle the stream through web browsers versus an application?

Thanks in advance.

How are you reaching ESPN? Through your cable provider's website, or directly from espn.com?

For several months, streaming from Comcast/xfinity using pc on a browser was heavily pixelated. On all channels, nothing could be watched. Using the Xfinity app on a Roku, image quality was clear. I never bothered checking back in on a pc, until now. PC streaming is back to normal when visiting the Xfinity Stream site under My Account. ESPN seemed fine-an MMA fight was on. Going directly to espn, and getting the ''select authorized cable provider'' prompt, PQ was fine-a little softer looking, but ok.

Have you switched browsers (which are you using) to see if the problem reoccurs?

Dazed and confused over high tech.

Sigh...Concrap. The Internet Overlord Cometh
They're not com-tastic!
