Over the weekend I had both the 3D Combo Pack and the 3D Collector's Edition Metal-S Pack in my hands... Gave in and got the shiny latter! Actually, my kids convinced me (as if I needed convincing, LOL).
It is COOOOL. There was also a Steelbook Edition but it was only 2D, which was good for me as, had it been 3D, it may have been what I would've gotten instead.
Yes, the base is a bit on the weak side, and the case is a bit on the big side, but, after a little getting used to, it looks mighty sweet! Glad I got this!
As for the Blu-ray 3D and the extras (man, those Target exclusives do sound great--so, sorry I'm not getting those here), I've only had a chance to give the film in 3D a try, and haven't yet sat down to fully enjoy it (and "crank it," thanks Frank!), but boy-oh-boy does it look and sound fabulous! Can't wait till I do just that! BTW, during that test run, I thought the 3D looked even better than I remembered it in IMAX!
