I watched this last night for the first time. I have always been a "car guy" and have several movies in my collection that have car action. Although this movie was well reviewed I was a bit disappointed with it. I felt as though all of the scenes that involved driving/pursuit looked like a mash up of recent year Dodge commercials and auto themed video games.

Thanks for the info on your projector, my screen is close to yours, 114".

I will keep the model number in mind, when it is time to do the jump ($6000-8000 in Canada).
First, I must recover from the atmos 4 ceiling up-grade, $5000 since I needed a new AVP, one more power amps and 4 speakers.

Nice room by the way, and look like you Love your guitars.

Im bummed I didnt see this in theaters, all the trailers made this look more like a parody movie so I thought it was going to be a bad comedy and make fun of like fast and the furious and similar, boy was I wrong... I finally watched it last weekend and yeah it had some corny moment but overall it was very entertaining and fun to watch.

Also chiming in w/ my disappointment that Atmos isn't on the Blu ray. I have my Projector which is only 1080p and want to continue testing out my Atmos setup. Maybe this is an excuse to get the PS4 Pro :/

The PS4 Pro does not play 4K/UHD discs, Games only (and 4K streaming)

I too expected so much more. The music was my biggest disappointment. There movie has a couple of good points:
I liked the waitress. She was smart and well acted.
The Subaru WRX opening action sequence although I didn't care for the soundtrack.

I bought the 4K movie version and am regretting my decision.

Great review! Cool movie!

I was glued to my seat with heart pounding for first 18min or so! Loved the action being timed to the beat as well as the visual element match up to the song theme! The graffiti lyrics were kind of cool too. This movie certainly was entertaining, fun/funny and worth another viewing!

The True HD track on my Netflix rental was great!

This is in my purchase queue since I'm sure I could view it several more time and still catch interesting tidbits both visual and audible!

Cheers,

Such a gawd awful movie, the sound couldn't save it.

I can't believe the kid was nominated for a Golden Globe award. He was as bland as can be.

I watched this a few days ago (streaming) and thought it was fantastic. The music was great (I laughed out loud when I realized they put Hocus Pocus by Focus on the soundtrack), and I felt like the driver played his part exactly the way it was meant to be portrayed. Spacey was creepy as usual, and Jamie Foxx did a great job as well. I liked it so much I'm going to purchase it in UHD to check out the Atmos sound. A worthy purchase, IMHO. Too bad it seems like a number of others don't feel the same way, but c'est la vie.

My wife and I finally watched this the other night and loved it! This movie is pure fun...a blast to watch and even better to listen to.

Gunshots in time with the music was a pleasant surprise...has this been done before? I found it pleasingly creative and added to the fun.

Definitely worth a spin, especially those with Atmos.

I bought this movie day 1, and sat on it for several months before watching it with my wife the other night. I love Edgar Wright but nothing that I saw about the movie motivated me to watch it. The advertising campaign left me uninspired. Finally we watching it the other night. We both loved it, which is pretty remarkable in of itself because we have very different tastes in movies.

I honestly think this movie is flawless. There's a reason why 9 out of 53 critics on Metacritic have it at 100 with not a single one giving it a mixed or negative review. It should have been nominated for Best Picture (no I'm not kidding).

It's my favourite movie of the year. I've watched it like five times already and it hasn't gotten old. The music and its timing to what's happening on the screen as well as the impeccable acting from all the characters...yeah it's pretty phenomenal.

Finally watched this movie from the beginning. My previous subwoofers were not very powerful so they would bottom out in various parts throughout the beginning of the movie especially the elevator sequence. Recently upgraded subwoofers and AVR and decided to give this movie another chance. No more bottom out the sound was flawless. Watched this on 4K UHD so was impressed by the use of HDR. I enjoyed the music used in this movie and thought that the car chase scene in the beginning was awesome! The Atmos was incredible! I also wanted to see other movies starring Ansel Elgort!!!

This is one of my all time favorite films that I've watched multiple times and enjoyed it every single time!

I remember the first time I watched it and 10 min in, I already had a feeling that this was a Movie Classic!

Highly Recommended as the Dolby Atmos audio is stunningly fantastic, especially if you have proper bass extension with your subs.
