Question Walmart/Vudu has disc release date October 2nd?

I also have little ones and missed this in the theater so have been looking forward to it at home.

I had it per-ordered the 4k/3D version from Amazon and then saw yesterday Vudu had it available for purchase with immediate access to the digital version and mailing of the disc upon release date.... except the release date is listed as October 2nd!! All other vendors list it as July 23rd. I am hoping it is an error yet the customer service confirmed shipping would occur on September 29th...

Anyone else ever see this type of error for another movie and the disc was actually released on time with other vendors?

Update: Suggestion is Vudu will ship on time along with other vendors based on experience of others with Vudu.

There are clip on 3D glasses like clip on sun glasses that you can clip on to your prescription glasses. They work fine. The clip-on 3D glasses I use are LG Cinema Clip 2 pack by Ultimate 3D Heaven. You can get them from Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/pairs-Clip-Po...%2C142&sr=8-14

I may be mistaken, yet believe Plasma requires active shutter glasses, which I have not seen as a clip on option. Would love to find a pair tho as I need active shutter for my projector and also wear prescription glasses.

I haven't bought a movie in a long time (mostly stream these days), but I'll be purchasing this 4K blu-ray pack to enjoy on my OLED, as well as watch the 3D version on my projector in my home theater. Can't wait!

I don't personally have Vudu but I was at a relatives place who does. I was doing some searches on movies and tried Edge of Tomorrow. The relative has it in their collection. I also noticed that Vudu also has the 3D version for purchase and streaming. I didn't know streaming services were offering 3D streams. I was shocked.

With that, did you happen to notice if the 3D version of Alita available for streaming as well?

Ughh, I never have luck with getting these Best Buy preorders the weekend early. It's always a Monday at best.

Giving this one the reference nod even while still waiting for the disc to arrive

And this is coming from a fan of the anime, but I never expect films to follow the original source material exactly, as it's unique as a different medium altogether.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it will be a 100 on Ralph's review, it's definitely the best Atmos mix released in recent memory.

Everything was top notch on this movie - Sound/picture and I really liked the story. I watched the blu ray not the 3D like I had planned. My daughter has a friend over and I didn’t have enough glasses.
