The First SW film that I didn't bother to see in the theater after the disastrous TLJ, so I probably "catch" a digital presentation that will be out soon I guess...

Looking forward to buying this one.

It had issues, but not of JJ Abrams' making. I thought he did the best job possible of getting Rian Johnson's train wreck back on the tracks. I just wish Disney would have given Abrams the extra hour he wanted and needed to let this story breath a bit.

It's too fast-paced, but it got where it needed to go.

The audio and visual candy in this should be awesome in our rooms.

No spoilers, but I though this one was much better than TLJ. It pretty much ignored the un-necessary characters, side stories, and force kids from TLJ. Of course, it couldn't ret-con Luke back from the dead, but it was good and I'm glad I paid the premium to watch it in iMax. Sure, if you think too much into it there are plot holes, and what movie doesn't have plot holes. But there are no flying Disney Frozen princesses, huge side plots that do nothing for the story, or characters that inexplicably hide their plans from the main characters.

Still, part of me wishes Disney took a mulligan on TLJ and let Abrams re-do it. But that would be pretty hard since one of the most important cast members is no longer with us.

This one is a no-brainer for me. Buying the 4K for this one and The Force Awakens on day one.

The big question is will I/should I buy Episodes IV-VI in 4K or stick with my despecialized versions......?

The price point on the box set is pretty reasonable (Nine 4K movies at around $28 each) and would likely be a few quid less than buying all of the movies individually. Of course it would mean getting Phantom Menace, not a favorite, double dipping on The Last Jedi and still having to buy Rogue One separately. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

So this episode made a BILLION dollar, and thus they made a Steel book 4K, regular 4K, Blu ray + Digital, 3D for the UK and possibley 3D for other regions, a Complete Saga of all them. But couldn't manage to make a 3D for the USA?
Thus have to order the 3D from UK, back to California.

Fascinating

That's pretty much what I say when I add to my ever growing (see sig) list of movie titles. I added the 2nd shelf a couple months ago.

Well... my autistic 22 year old is the world's biggest SW fan. So I'm ordering the RoSW 4K standalone for him... and ordering 2 copies of the box set. One for personal viewing and one to keep sealed in case it's ever worth some money down the road. Not worried about not being able to sell it later... it's Star Wars.

Who knows though, may just keep them both sealed for the time being. I have all the titles individually anyway in either HD or UHD... and they are UHD streamable on Disney + as well.

BTW... missed RoSW at the theater. Looking forward to completing the saga.

Same here. JJ Abrams knows how to write and direct a movie. So does Rian Johnson (most recently Knives out). Last Jedi may not have been a 5/5 but I gave it at least a 4 spot.

Just got Disney+ from Verizon free for a year - so grabbed the app. Watched The Mandalorian 1st episode last night on ATV4K in home theater- looked and sounded good though I noticed audio had to be raised.

Yeah the general consensus was that it was a "damage control" film, however I didn't care much for EP VII and frankly Abrams simply wasn't the right choice for this franchise IMO, though clearly better than Johnson was.[anybody really] Like I said I will see this but doubt it will be a purchase. In the meantime I enjoy the Clone Wars final season on TV a far superior show to any of the live action films Disney managed to produce so far.

Really enjoyed it in theaters. Looking forward to picking up the UHD combo pack. Heres to hoping it has a good mix and not Disney dribble.

I will definitely pick this up to complete the series. Some people didn't like it, my son and I enjoyed it for what it was, entertainment. However, I don't understand why the UK version gets 3D, and the US does not. Since I have a projector very capable of 3D, I may order it from the UK...Thoughts anyone?

Peace and blessings,

Azeke

Spoiler!
All Disney material requires a significant volume increase. Not sure why they do that.

So I saw this like a couple weeks ago, I was originally going to go and watch Sonic but something got messed up with my ticket so they refunded me and I didnt want to wait a couple hours to see it later so I was like okay I will watch this since it was about to start. I am by no means a Star Wars fan, I find the plots to be pretty bland and repetitive and well this was no different. I left very unmoved, in fact a week later when I saw an ad for it I was like did I ever see this movie and then was like oh yeah I did last week lol... yeah... pretty blah ending for the journey that has been taken over the decades. ^^;;

I stopped buying Star Wars movies after Revenge of the Sith (on BluRay disc) because I did not like their audio was mixed. The bass was too low for me on the last couple of Star Wars movies in UHD movies unless I cranked up the volume. I am guessing that Disney will just include the old versions in their box set and not remix the movies to fix the bass problem. I will therefore rent RofSW and then decide if I want to add it to my library or not. I did not see this movie in the theaters, so I am looking forward to seeing it in my HT.

Have the original 3 movies been released on UHD before? I cannot seem to remember if they have. TESB is my favorite although the first one is the movie that ignited my imagination and the my 40+ years of love for the series!

Revenge of the Sith had a very anemic bass especially on the heels of the Attack of The Clones, which was almost sounded "overcooked" like the old Japanese LD of EP I.
