I hope that doesn't mean that the theater hasn't been getting any use!

That's a beautiful baby you've got there, btw. Is it your daily driver right now, or only for special occasions?

Getting some use... have watched a few movies and played a lot of Assassin’s Creed Origins

Thanks! It’s my “nice day and special occasion” driver... it’s perfect for going out to dinner by the lake on a nice summer evening. A friend just got a convertible too, so we have been going on “convertible dates” with him and his wife.

That muffler is harsh... tone is a bit too high and it’s very loud. I need to find one that can lower the tone a bit and maybe quiets it down a notch.
Cool
Mine was a custom midnight blue that I picked out... it was sweeeeet.
One day I would like another one

Home theater update: my Insteon hub has died. Apparently the particular model that I have is prone to having a capacitor fail so it will no longer power up.
Luckily it is common enough that they are repairing or replacing them under warranty even if you are outside of your warranty!
Just dropped my hub in the mail to be repaired - picked that option over replacement because there is not a way to port over your settings to a new hub, and I don’t want to reprogram everything. Reprogramming would require me to rewrite the scripts I use in cinemavision... which would require me remembering how I did that in the first place. LOL!

Anyway, that’s the only update I’ve got.

Glanced at it, didn’t want to spend the money.
The Insteon hub was great until the cap failed... hoping the repair lasts.

There are some posts about replacing the cap yourself, looks simple enough. Preemptive strike maybe?

Finally ran the cable and connected my HDMI splitter so the tv at the theater entrance/concession stand can mirror the projector.

When I first hooked it up I was getting digital snow on the projector... but it went away when I switched ports around.

Also finally got started on doing the poly on the bar rail... been putting it off because I’ve been sure I’ll mess it up.

After 3 coats of polyurethane (with sanding after 2 coats) I’m thinking it’s gonna take another 4-5 before things end up smooth... this is gonna be annoying

Sorry if this has been asked already, but what seats are those? They look like Octane Turbo XL700s. Do you like them? Have they been durable?

They are Costco Pulaski theater seats. Best deal around for full grain leather at the time when I snagged them on clearance.
Very comfortable, just wish they were made to me connected together - yhe arms only come off of you do a small construction project that I have met been brave enough to attempt.
If o could find just one more I would buy it in a heartbeat to put in my back row to get rid of the corner piece that’s there.

Repaired Insteon hub arrived back today... not bad considering I shipped it out exactly 1 week ago!

Plugged it back into the network and everything is back in working order.

I’m pretty impressed with their customer service department - quick response right from the start and really fast turn around.

Wife brought home a new bar table for her Megatouch machine, so I did some redecorating. Gotta love the green tape still on the bar from doing the poly...

Moved the “fireplace” over...

And finally got brave enough to peel off the tape - poly needs more sanding and more coats because it’s still not perfect. We are hosting a huge party this weekend so it’s not getting any more done til after!

Whoa, It's been a while since I've stopped in, and all of a sudden there's progress! Let me add some encouragement with the bar rail. Sooner or later you'll find your technique that gives the perfect result.

Do the arcade machines get a lot of traffic during parties? How about the theater? Always curious to know how these things work out in real life. I still think the space looks great!

The arcade machines definitely do, especially big buck hunter. The MAME machine takes a little instruction , but once people get the hang of it it is pretty busy too.

Theater - most people want to see it...
During the party we had last weekend I had a pirates of the Caribbean marathon playing so people were in and out watching bits and pieces - then around midnight when the ladies decided to do karaoke, most of the guys moved into the theater and we put on Deadpool.
