Thanks Jeff for the pics. Mine will be a challenge because my doors open inside the room and I am going to want them to look hidden yet I may want the panels to be openable to reveal sunlight through the glass if necessary.

How were the speakers hung on the raised panels? I assume with a wood spacer behind the panel?

One last question - How were the LED tape lights or the rope light implemented above and below the beige fabric panels? Was the light sandwiched between a 1 x 2 and the top of the fabric panels?

the top and bottom border panels were mounted on set back furring strips holding them off the wall. That created places to tuck and hide the rope light. I don't remember how thick the furring was, 3/4 to 1 inch I'm guessing.
