Is the new torrent available yet?

Jindrak 03-02-2013 09:25 AM

Just a few minutes guys.....

Update: Everything was transferred via FTP fine. A few problems creating the actual torrent file, but those have hopefully been sorted out now.

Can you post a link to the torrent? wink.gif

Jindrak 03-02-2013 03:57 PM

Had to spend all day working with their tech support.

Still have 1 thing left to get out.

Ok, re-making the torrent file (again). I know you guys must be frustrated. If this doesn't work, I'll just go back to seeding from my crappy connection. The new-new link will be up in a little bit.

neutro 03-02-2013 06:13 PM

You can't believe how frustrated I am man, talk about crappy service here rolleyes.gif

Seriously, I'll take it when it's ready biggrin.gif Anyway, the download will likely be a long affair anyway, and it will be a while before I can explore your demo disc fully. Thanks *a lot* for all your efforts, I really look forward to it.

Thank! biggrin.gif
I downloaded for 10 minutes now at an average of 121kB/s
It seems that it will take a week to download, but the rate changes sometimes, so it can be two weeks or 4 days.

Thanks again, worth the wait and worth the week download!

One quetion, are these the same files posted earlier? If so, then I can stop the download because I have the other five DVD-9 torrents downloaded.

Jindrak 03-03-2013 09:48 AM

Not sure what you mean. I haven't uploaded any DVD-9's, and almost none of these scene's have been uploaded before. Before I left for work this morning, saw the upload rate at 2.1 MB/s. I'll try and see if it can't go faster. The download speed for everyone is dependent on what your ISP allows for you.

Is everyone else getting good speeds?

Helheim 03-03-2013 10:20 AM

I was getting 300-400 kB/s on the old one but this one only 130 kB/s I have a 100 mB/s connection.

landshark1 03-03-2013 10:38 AM

I've got very good download speed, around 700kB~1MB (FIOS). It's about 70% downloaded already since last night. It said another 6-7hrs to go, can't wait to check it out!

Btw, have you created any poster/cover artwork for the disc? Or do you have your background pic or something that you can upload so we can made it out own?

I'll be seeding it during the weekdays after finished too. wink.gif

Thanks again!

Craig78 03-03-2013 10:53 AM

HI.

Just saying thanks in advance for this.

I was one of the first to start downloading and am now at 59.5%. The d/l speed hasn't gone over 1.4.mbps but is now much slower than it was. I'm not complaining though, cos I took a sneaky peek at 00056.m2ts (the pod emerges scene from War Of The Worlds) and I have a stupid grin on my face after watching that!

Pic of my upload stats:

I'll continue to upload as long as possible. (sorry my upload speeds are so crappy...blame Mr Branson for that!)

Thanks once again. smile.gif

Jindrak 03-03-2013 11:03 AM

No cover art at the moment. I do have a background pic I can upload. I might be able to whip something up in PS this afternoon.

0blar 03-03-2013 11:30 AM

Hi

I have a very low download (I have a fiber ISP connexion), about 8 Ko/s average

zombie1210 03-03-2013 01:18 PM

Super 8.

Train crash.

It broke a coffee cup in the china cabinet. Seriously.

Just got done talking to a rep for the seedbox. I've got the whole line, and they aren't limiting anything on their end. If you're running anything else that uses the internet, stop using it for faster speeds. Lag/ping time will also affect speeds.

Can see that 27 people have grabbed it and are downloading so far. What's the general consensus: Should I make a new thread for Volume 2, or just keep it in here?

art West-VL. 03-03-2013 02:03 PM

For me, keep it in here, we know the thread and it's importance. wink.gif

Sorry about the misunderstanding before about the DVD-9 stuff, I was confused with something else.

Thanks!!! Slow or fast, sure is worth the wait!
I'll keep the laptop on from now on and post when it got downloaded.

TheSly 03-03-2013 03:42 PM

Thanks mate, keen to try this out.

Not sure if being in Oz makes a difference but I'm only getting 13kb/s on the download, not downloading/uploading anything else, or any other torrents.

Hope it improves, otherwise I'll see you in 45days, which is how long til it finishes smile.gif

Jindrak 03-03-2013 04:56 PM

Looking at the torrent, I see that it accidentally made a copy of the folder "BDMV". You can go ahead and delete that folder if you want, since it isn't supposed to be there. Not sure why it did that.

nickbuol 03-03-2013 05:03 PM

Hmmm.... I was getting about 200 kB/s with the original download, but now with the super-duper torrent that should be way faster, I am getting anywhere from 10.7 kB/s - 17.2 kB/s and that is with more seeders.

Not sure that it was worth paying the bucks for the "upgrade".

I am not in a rush though. How the heck could I be, you put a lot of time and effort into this so I am not complaining about you, just that you might ask for some $$$ back if that is the best that they can do.

(Note: Most good torrents I can pull down at a speed of about 1.0 - 2.4 MB/s)

Anyway, I am excited to try it out when it is done in 11 weeks. LOL. biggrin.gif

(I really am NOT upset. Just trying to joke about it.)

pauleyc 03-03-2013 05:45 PM

It looks like everyone is seeding at .1k. Everyone update your max upload, it won't hurt your download and we will all benefit.

Jindrak 03-03-2013 06:21 PM

Sorry about the crappy upload speed... Wish there was something I could do more to help that along. Really don't want ppl to have to wait absurd times like that.

Edit: Ok, I see another thing this torrent did weird. There are 2 stream folders. The first one contains a bunch of empty, useless files. These can be deleted. There is a second STREAM folder inside the first one that actually contains the real files.

TheSly 03-03-2013 06:52 PM

Considering you paid for the service, you should speak with them about the crappy speeds. I'm at 4kb/s now, 74days remaining. The entire swarm speed is only 180kb/s, so something's not right.

Not getting upset at you, as we're all very thankful for your efforts, it's just frustrating for you and everyone, if it takes 10-12 weeks before we can share your joy over your creation smile.gif

neutro 03-03-2013 07:10 PM

For me speed is just fluctuating widely; I had peaks at almost 500 KB/s, average is still 296 KB/s, but it sometimes go down below 100 KB/s. I've got 7 GB now, 39 to go biggrin.gif

Wow, that's awesome. I'm at 3kb/s, 146days, so maybe it's that I'm connected to other downloaders, and you are connected to the source. Well that's good news that we're all not slow, as it will eventually distribute quick for all.

Cheers,

landshark1 03-03-2013 10:41 PM

OK, finished downloaded a couple hours ago, and finally have a chance to check it out. However, it has tons of folder inside BDMV top folder, instead of the usual BDMV & STREAM folders from the others? Should I put everything inside to make an ISO/burn disc? confused.gif

BTW, currently seeding @ 500kB for you guys, so far seeded 28GB since the start. cool.gif

0blar 03-04-2013 07:14 AM

great !

i'm curently downloaded at 520 Ko, 21 hours left

nickbuol 03-04-2013 09:33 AM

I am concerned that this seed has issues with file structure. Can someone document what is needed to fix this once the files are downloaded? I would hate for people to ruin 50 GB blu-ray discs due to a bad file structure in the torrent seed.

Jindrak 03-04-2013 09:43 AM

I have already documented what needs to be done in previous posts, but I will post again here:

1) There is another BDMV folder inside the BDMV folder. Deleted the one that is inside the BDMV folder.
2) There is a STREAM folder inside the STREAM folder. In the first stream folder, make sure that if there are any files (if there are, they will be 0kb) that they are deleted. In the second STREAM folder, CUT all the files out and place them in the 1st STREAM folder. Then delete the 2nd STREAM folder.

Once you do those 2 things, it should be good to go. Once I get back home, I will post a picture guide of what is wrong and what it should look like. I currently have no idea why the torrent changed the file structure like this, but it should be easily fixable.

adammb 03-04-2013 10:07 AM

Is there a place to get the actual link rather than go through mediafire?

vikgrao 03-04-2013 10:25 AM

I am done downloading too. Thanks! Seeding right now at max speed!
