I live in an older house which the walls are either plaster or lath. My question was do you think that my wall would support this? The unit is 40 pounds and someone said I should brace it and I wouldn't know what to brace it with. I would put it in my entertainment center but its much too large to fit in the space. Any ideas would be great.

thanks.

assuming you meant to post you are using the Peerless PS 200 wall mounting bracket. Ideally you want to hit at least one stud with your mounting screws. If that doesn't work for you, I strongly recommend toggler type anchors that will give you an anchor point behind the lathe that should hold your receiver without worry.
