Can't wait till I can go 100% on a project like yours.
It is a fun journey when you are able to build one!

I have a progress update... One speaker is nearing completion, and all I can say is they are BIG!

Here are some images of the new speakers being built.

Basic box:

Sides of horn being mocked up to figure out the angles and location of the sides:

Ports made, and measurements stored:

Front and rear view with woofers installed (we still need to trim the front of the horn flush with the cabinet, make the additional horn flare, and make the top and bottom angled triangles for the horn (top and bottom):

The cabinets are 40" wide, 27 1/2" high, and 26" deep. After the front horn flare is designed and installed...we are thinking it will be 6-8" wider and taller. This bad boy is heavy!

Today we got it to the point that we only need the following:
1: fill holes with wood putty
2: mount speaker wire jacks, and wire speakers up
3: sand speaker cabinet
4: install weatherstripping for sealing cabinet

Hopefully next time we will be to fire it up to see how the compression driver sounds, and then also how the woofers sound. At that time it might be ready to take home, and set up the crossover...for some real serious listening.

Agreed! What compression drivers? I just installed upgraded JBL 2453H-SL's on my JBL 4722 speakers and they are great!

Great craftsmanship!

I am selling the following:
1: 3 JBL 2360A horns (without the drivers) for $150 each.
2: 3 DIY Q-Pie bass bins with EVM 15" woofers for $150 each
3: Panasonic AE8000e for $900
4: 2 Crest Audio CM2208s (8 channel) pro amps for $450 each
5: 1 Yamaha XM-4080 (4 channel) pro amp $400
6: Panamorph UH-480 (B stock) for $950

I might have a few more pieces soon too. The amps are being sold as I am making a new 14 channel amp to conserve space.

Dang the PJ is tempting as I want that exact model. Decent until I go full build and 4K. But just can't spend more money right now unless my Amps sell...
