An unfortunate early death has necessitated an upgrade in the sub amp department. A MiniDSP 2X4HD is on the way to pair with it.

Another quick update... I've moved on to the next phase, a second 460HO flat pack is under construction currently and an additional 1502 has been acquired. Next step is a rack expansion, and I have been considering going to outboard amplification, with either QSC or Crown power.

I have always been told for years that you should at least have something underneath it like a block of wood, or have it up on a shelf, as it will hold a charge, v.s. going dead over time.

That's an old wives tales from the time years ago when battery cases were not made of hard plastic. Batteries do go dead from sitting though which probably helps perpetuate the myth.

@Roccoman Room is looking great. I've been following this thread since you started it.

Sure thing. https://www.jaxxbeanbags.com/

I did a ton of looking around and these seemed to be highly rated. They are a huge hit with everyone that comes over, super comfy and the perfect size for what we were looking for. They were pretty reasonable, iirc around $300 each. Look around or wait for them to do a promo code, that's what I did.

The addition of a NX6K required an expansion. I guess I have room for more amps now...I wonder what might happen...

Are you sure you want that Pre amp on the bottom. I had mine low on my old rack and now have it about mid way up. That way your cables don't have to be so long coming from the top down.

Ladeback I plan on re-racking everything for that very reason once I get some time off work here soon...priorities. The Mrs. wants to go somewhere tropical soon so that may delay what else I have in mind.

Finally all assembled. Now just have to wire up the amp and get to work on REW to time align and eq.

Wow...I can see why you've renamed this the slippery slope. That was fun to read through, and watch evolve. You're giving me courage to try some of the ideas I'm kicking around for my room. I love the simplicity of your screen wall. Have you considered going acoustically transparent, and placing the speakers behind the screen? That way you can get them away from the wall, and improve the overall imaging. Where's your center, by the way? Is it below the screen?

Thanks! It's been a fun ride so far!

The screen wall is AT except for the screen itself. The center is just below the screen at a 20 degree up angle, and the L and R towers are back there too.
