Here is a fun thread to read. I have been in this room a few times they are pretty impressive and how the speakers got into the ceiling was as well.

I got tired of the deck chairs so I went ahead and 'recycled' my old row of seatcraft seats from my previous room. Eventually I want to break them up into singles and use them as overflow on the rear stage, but for now they will make things nice and comfortable until I can buy the recliners.

Building the AT frames which will hide the wall treatments and give the final finish to the walls between the columns.

Making the AT frames for the stage to hide all the front speakers. A bit of a shame as they are beautiful cabinets but this is an 'invisible speaker' theater build after all.

I just bought my first two pieces of 1:1 replica display art for the columns, nothing super fancy or licensed etc, just some lovingly made fan creations that I think will be great conversation pieces...

Another piece for the display columns, this one comes in a kit from China for under $100 which looks pretty fun to build, here's a build video and review...

That site is dead. I was curious, maybe finding some additional intros for my theater.

Another option for folks wanting custom theater intros, I bought three custom from Ballyweg.

URL's are case insensitive. It's dead for me. Gives this error:

I had to contour the base speaker frame to get every millimeter of viewing angle back that I could so it doesn't clip the very bottom of the screen. Wrapped the whole thing in Joann Royalty 3 black velvet so it matches the screen edge perfectly.

Amazing job with all of the LED lights, I love it! Did you use channeling for the LED's or are they exposed?

Thanks! They are exposed but they sit out of sight so no need for channel.

Stage speaker panels all finished and in place. I just need to make velvet ones for the interior sides and then the stage will be complete.

My tired 6 year old Intel i7 3770k CPU has started to fail lately so I figured it was time to do a little system rebuild.

As this computer is primarily used for Media and transcoding I opted for a Ryzen based build this time around, at only $160 the Ryzen 5 2600 is an insane value with 6 cores/12 threads at 3.4ghz base clock (3.9ghz boost), perfect for workstation tasks like this. I also opted for the MSI B450 based mobo and 16gb of 3000mhz CL15 ram. All three pieces come to less than $400 which is a hell of a lot of bang for the buck.
My existing GPU is a GTX 1070i so that's more than up to the task of delivering 4K with MadVR tone mapping. As I don't game on this rig (or at all much anymore ) this budget workhorse is just right for the job in the theater.
