Mebbe sew...mebbe sew. It's certainly just down the road. Bring a Passport though...I hear they take a dim view of people showing up w/no documentation.

I know a jaunt out to the Green Flash Brewery is high on my list. I smoothed out / filled in a Concrete Wall and painted on a 180"er for the Tasting Area...earned myself Free Tap Draws in perpetuity.

They have a Belgian Tripple (9.5 ) that will make you forget about all this HT nonsense.

I'll be there on Friday. I have MANY CESs under my belt, but this will be my first CEDIA. It would be nice to meet fellow enthusiasts. I was hoping there would be CTA meetings so I could have work pay for the trip, but it's not happening this year!

Yeah, I'll be there. I should be done with my room early next year, so I want to check out the different projectors from JVC and Sony in person.

Be sure to go to the side room presentation by SONY if you want to see anything other than the mega bucks flagship projector they usually have in the booth.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on buying the VW5000 (or newer). This will be my first time to CEDIA...will the side presentation be advestised/known, or is it a sort of thing you have to know where to look? Does the same apply for JVC's exhibit?

Does anyone know if there will be anything AVS-specific by any exhibitors this year, like Sony did in 2017?

When you register (do before you go using a free code) you can sign up for any of the free manufacturer training sessions, there are a few for Sony. a couple identical sessions on projectors, one is 3-5 Thursday in room 5B.
Scott usually makes a post about CEDIA the week of, if he manages to get a vendor to do something extra.

Always nice to get AVS people to give first person impressions of things like projectors vs advertised specs. Hope you all have a good time!

I would love to go one of these years. I used to go to CES regularly, but it has been a few years.

Thanks, I signed up for it. Yeah I used one of the codes to cover the admission when I previously registered...thanks for that too, btw!

Much of it may be previously-seen by many, but since this is my first CEDIA, I'm particularly looking forward to it.

Also, since I'm one of the few with a fairly large seating distance to screen size ratio (1st row @ 9.5' from a 143" diagonal screen), 4K resolution is appealing to me and I'm definitely looking forward to checking out the new JVCs.

Should be fun regardless.

I'm going because it is fun, wear comfortable shoes. You will be overwhelmed with what there is to see and explore.
