Peppercorn and tricorn black theater

Has anyone used this color combo that wouldn’t mind posting a picture of results? I’m leaning to tricorn black on ceiling and screen wall and the peppercorn grey on the walls.

I used tricorn black on my ceiling and considered peppercorn grey on walls but wound up going with Westchester grey as it fit better with the fabric covering the acoustic panels. Feel free to check out my theater build "The Force Theater" in my signature line below

In HT1.0, I went with Peppercorn latex on the ceiling, however, in HT2.0, went with Tricorn on everything, latex for the ceiling, and oil base for all the columns and trim.

If this is your first time doing a dark color on the ceiling , Peppercorn will look almost black to you, and it actually is a very nice dark color, but not quite as black as Tricorn.
You can get some samples from Sherwin-Williams that will cost about 8 bucks a pop , but then you can paint some samples and see which one you like better..
Personally, I really like both of them, as I have used them both, so IMHO, I would use either or...they both look great.

HT1.0 | HT2.0 (Finally Fully Operational )
JVC RS-2000 / Xbox One X / nVidia Shield / DIY treatments
Seymour AV Center Stage 130" 2.35 / Denon 7200WA / Denon 6300 / 2x miniDSP2x4HD
iNuke NU6000DSP / iNukeNU3000DSP / 2x Klipsch R-112SW / 2x UM18-22 / 12x JBL 12"
11.2(16).6 Atmos/Klipsch RF-82/RC-64II/RS-42/RS-41/BS-62/CDT3800-C-II

It is my first time doing a dark ceiling, and surprisingly my wife is onboard with it so that’s a plus. I’ll have to check your guys theaters! Thanks for the input.

what type of finish did you use? Did you go all the way to flat or i have also heard eg shell is a good compromise between not as glossy but also not leaving fingerprints and what not.

Not my theater, but here are a few good shots of @Juiced46 's theater which is Tricorn and Peppercorn. I will be going with this color scheme as well with a fabric front false wall.

Here are a few more updated pictures of my setup of Tricorn Black and Peppercorn. Also, Sherwin Williams mixed a darker primer for me for the Tri corn so I can get it as dark as possible. I used Tricorn on the screen wall and ceiling up to the front row.

Good Morning,

We're still in the final phases of setting up our HTR, but all walls and ceiling are TRICORN matte. Taking pics of a "black" room are really, really tough. The trim was done in a TRICORN "satin". Application - I was fortunate I was able to spray the Tricorn because this was a newly built lower level. I have some other pics to help show the black.

These pictures are really terrible the more I look at them. -- Sorry, I'll see if I can capture some better ones tonight

Do you have problems with the flat walls showing fingerprints or scuffs or anything.

Nope, but I don't make it a habit to lick my walls either LOL

But in all seriousness, we just make it a point not to touch the walls like any other room in the house as there is enough space to move around without doing so. If someone does touch it though, we've not had any issues. If something were to scuff it up, that's what leftover paint and sponge brush is for
