From Small Home Theater --> To Large Home Cinema = 😍

History
Earlier this year I had some spare time and decided to move my home cinema from a separate smaller room to my larger living room.

Since I live alone with my kids in our house I could do what the F****K I want.... so I did.

A note here: I could not even put up a painting on the wall and I dont have a lot of money to hire someone to help me. For me it was a lot of youtubeing and reading and just accepting that I might do some wrong things and mistakes. And let it take time.

Equipment

Projector
Epson 9400

Screen
Euroscreen 104" Grey High Contrast ReAct Fixed Screen

Sources
Dune HD Pro 4K
Panasonic Blu-Ray Player
Xbox One X
Nintendo Switch

Amplification
Denon AVR-2311

Speakers
Front: Bowers & Wilkins CDM7 SE
Centre: Bowers & Wilkins CDMC SE
Rear: Bowers & Wilkins CDM1 SE
Sub: Paradigm PS-1200

The images shows how the room was before and then after my build.

Man, I really like the wall color at least how it appears in the pics. Not a black hole but looks great. What color did you use?

Good room, good sound with B&W.
How do you use surround on wall or rack?

Does Denon 2311 have enough power for B&W?

Thanks. I am using wall mount from Vogel for the surrounds and yes, I think 2311 has enough power... for now.

I dont have the name now but it is a dark grey color with minimum shine.
It is always a gamble when it comes to colir but I am really happy with the result.

Nice space. Good work on that wall! Makes a big difference for sound and probably video quality.

Maybe I missed these details but:

How do you cover the windows to control light? Or does your screen reject ambient light so well you don't need to?

What is that big block on the back wall? Acoustic treatment?

Have you considered acoustic treatment for the side walls?

Thanks.

The white block is just a cupboard with my DVDs and BDs.
No acoustics yet. I have been thinking about but for now I just use the rug, sofa and pillows.
I just use drapers for my windows... the simplest kind. It works but it never gets pitch black.

My screen is high contrast so it is dark.

I had to try and take a good still image to show off the new Epson. The source is 4k but the feed still is 1080p since my Denon is so old.

But I still love the quality and sharpness.

The colors and the blacks...
