Software of Choice for HT Design/Layout

I see a lot of great CAD layouts for home theaters on this site and I am curious, what are the applications you all are using for design and layout of your theaters?

I’m using an app called magic plan. It’s free and I like the 3D view function.

I like Sketchup Make 2017, which is free as well. Very good software for CAD layout (2D and 3D) and can do rendering with various plug-ins.

Chief Architect is amazing, but it's an investment.

I second the Chief Architect. It's what I use as well.

I also have Chief Architect but prefer Sketchup for actual detailed home theater design.

A combination of FreeCAD/LibreCAD/pen&paper here. It has worked ok so far.

A bit of Excel/LibreCalc is always handy.
