Haha Tom, I heard it's one of the strangest films ever. I actually saw the live-action play of Cat's as a child and even as a I child I was like what on Earth is this?!?!? lol

Good evening!

New products ... including some demos that I was expecting a lot (and a wish for one of them ...).

In short, you will have the right from here this weekend to the new demos of the Star Wars saga (Ep. I-II-III-IV-V-VI-VII & Rogue One) with their new versions, in 4K HDR & Dolby Atmos

And suddenly, FINALLY good (see excellent) for Revenge of the Sith, which was so far not crazy, rather soft, not very precise ... Problem finally solved and this new Atmos track is serious!

In short, here are the Star Wars demos (from the BR box which arrives in May) in 4K first:

- Star Wars Ep. I (The Pod Race) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. II (Void-7 Sonic Charges) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. II (Battle of Geonosis) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. III (Space Battle of Corusant) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. III (Venator vs Providence) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. III (Crash of the Destroyer Providence) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. IV (CR90 Tantive IV) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. V (Battle of Hoth) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. VI (End of the Empire) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. VII (Flight from Jakku)
- Star Wars Ep. VII (Battle of Takodana) with Atmos
- Rogue One (Destruction of Jedha) with Atmos
- Rogue One (Arrival of Rebel Reinforcements) with Atmos

Then the other demos in 4K:

- 6 Underground (Magnets) with Dolby Digital + Atmos
- Battle Los Angeles (Highway Battle) with VF DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Blade Runner (Tears in Rain) with Dolby Atmos
- Fast & Furious 7 (See You Again) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Gladiator (Unleashing of Hell) with DTS-X
- Gladiator (Battle of Carthage) with DTS-X
- Skyfall (Opening credits) with DTS HD-MA 5.1

And finally, the 1080p demos:

- 28 Weeks Later (Home Escape) with DTS HD 5.1
- Cats (Skimbleshanks - The Railway Cat) with Atmos
- Gantz: 0 (Creatures Leak) with DTS HD 5.1
- The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (The Destiny of Smaug) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- LotR : The Two Towers (Explosion in Helm's Deep) with DTS HD-MA 6.1
- LotR : Les Deux Tours (Frodo at Osgiliath) with DTS HD-MA 6.1
- Pacific Rim : Uprising (Attack in Sydney) with Atmos
- Prometheus (Takeoff & Crash) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Prometheus (Particle Storm) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Rogue One (Destruction of Jedha) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Skyfall (Train Attack) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- The Impossible (The Tsunami) with DTS HD-MA 5.1

You will notice that I put 2 same demos for SW Ep. IV, VI and Rogue One. I intend to leave the demos in 1080p for those who do not yet have 4K and / or Atmos equipment.

PS: Always be careful with demos with Atmos, duration problem on videos.

Anyway, all of that will be coming soon and I hope it will help you

Thank you for the new updates. By the way, which ATMOS demo has impressed you the most out of all of the demos and why?

Haha it's rather complicated to choose. But I allow myself to make a top 5 (in no specific order) of mixes in Atmos:

- The Matrix (superb remixing, while the old Dolby TrueHD was already doing wonders)
- Ready Player One (orgasm of sound effects even if I don't find the movie incredible)
- Blade Runner 2049 (incredible dynamism and the OST is insane)
- Everest (the only film that is not a thriller / horror and this mix f*** the balls. Then the Epilogue theme at the end is superb in Atmos)
- And... already Star Wars Ep. II: When the DTS HD-MA 6.1 mix was already working wonders, the new Atmos track that I listened to once this week gave me a kid's smile.

-> Before Star Wars Ep. II arrived, there were Transformers 4

But it's possible that all that will change soon because ... The War of the Worlds, whose current DTS HD-MA 5.1 mix is smashing and is one of the most appalling I know (with The Fellowship of the Ring, Interstellar, Transformers 2 and ... Star Wars Ep. II haha) which will be next remixed in Dolby Atmos for its new master 4K and I can't wait to see the result!

To come back to the TOP Atmos, I would have also advised Kong Skull Island, Godzilla II, Saving Private Ryan and 1917. And if I include the DTS-X, variant of the competitor to Dolby, I will have mit Gladiator, JW Fallen Kingdom and The Prisoner of Azkaban.

Yes I like mixes and some of them can make me like a movie more / less.

Well in reality, I have not fully kept my promises and it is missing the demos of Star Wars Ep. V, VI & VII (in 4K / Atmos) which will arrive later, sorry ...

In short, here is what awaits you, in 4K to start:

- 6 Undergrounds (Magnets) with DD + Atmos
- Aliens (Act IV) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Baby Driver (Introduction) with Dolby Atmos
- Battle Los Angeles (Highway Battle) with VF DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Black Hawk Down (MH-6 Little Bird Shelling) with Dolby Atmos
- Black Hawk Down (Gortaz a Ran) with Dolby Atmos
- Blade Runner (Tears in Rain) with Dolby Atmos
- Bohemian Rhapsody (Live Aid) with Dolby Atmos
- E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (Escape of Children) with DTS-X
- Everest (Dario Marianelli - Epilogue) with Dolby Atmos
- Furious 7 (See You Again) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Gladiator (Unleashing of Hell) with DTS-X
- Gladiator (The Battle of Carthage) with DTS-X
- Knowing (Plane Crash) with Dolby Atmos
- Knowing (End of the World) with Dolby Atmos
- Lone Survivor (Rapid Intervention) with DTS-X
- Moana (Island of Te Fiti) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Moana (We Know the Way) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Rogue One (Attack of Eadu) with Dolby Atmos
- Rogue One (Rebel Reinforcements) with Dolby Atmos
- Skyfall (Opening credits) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Star Wars Ep. I (Pod Race pt. 1) with Dolby Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. I (Pod Race pt. 2) with Dolby Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. I (Invasion of Naboo) with Dolby Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. II (Battle of Geonosis) with Dolby Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. II (Void-7 Sonic Charges) with Dolby Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. III (Space Battle of Corusant) with Dolby Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. III (Crash of Destoyer Providence) with Dolby Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. III (Venator vs Providence) with Dolby Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. IV (Attack of the CR90 Tantive IV) with Dolby Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. IV (Leak of Tatooine) with Dolby Atmos
- The Incredible Hulk (Attack at the University) with DTS-X
- Transformers 3 (Sentinel Prime Betrayal) with Dolby Atmos
- X-Men (Poland 1944) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- X-Men 2 (Requiem - Dies Irae) with DTS HD-MA 5.1

Then, the 1080p demos:

- 28 Weeks Later (Home Escape) with DTS HD 5.1
- Cats (Skimbleshanks - The Railway Cat) with Dolby Atmos
- Gantz 0 (Flight of Creatures) with DTS HD 5.1
- The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (Destiny of Smaug) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- LotR : The Two Towers (Destruction of Helm's Deep) with DTS HD-MA 6.1
- LotR : The Two Towers (Temptation of Frodo at Osgiliath) with DTS HD-MA 6.1
- Lilo & Stitch (He Mele no Lilo) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Mulan (Battle in the Mountains) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Mulan (Like a Man) with VF DTS HR 5.1
- Pacific Rim: Uprising (Attack in Sydney) with Dolby Atmos
- Prometheus (Takeoff & Crash) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Prometheus (Particle Storm) with VF DTS 5.1
- Rogue One (Destruction of Jedha) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Skyfall (Train Attack) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Sully (Nightmare) with VF Dolby Atmos
- The Impossible (The Tsunami) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- The Lone Ranger (Train Derailment) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- The Lone Ranger (Willam Tell - Overture) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Unbroken (Bombing) with Dolby Atmos

You will notice that I, as French, add demos with the language of my country (mention: VF) for other people, to whom I shared my Drive.

And you will also have noticed, that I put a lot of demos using music (contemporary as classical), which was missing.

And always be careful with the demos with Atmos, to use without advancing in the demo at the risk of crashing your media player.

In short, enjoy it all!

Tom, those are all great Dolby Atmos mixes. I keep hearing great things about Everest. Really excited to see that movie.

I cannot wait to hear the Matrix too!

Hi friends !

At the moment, I don't have enough demos to make an interesting update.

But I can tell you that this Drive now includes more than 400 demos (including 350 from films, 20 from video games and around 40 techniques).

And also for a total of 400gb, it makes a hell of a haha package

In short, I wish you a good evening because at my house it's night and see you next time!

Hi friends !

It had been a while since I had given any news regarding my demos.

Well, know that for tomorrow there will be something new. As usual, here is the list:

First in 4K HDR:

- 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (Mortar Fire) with Atmos
- Apollo 13 (Takeoff) with DTS-X
- Bad Boys for Life (Introduction in Porsche 911) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Yu Shu Lien vs Jen Yu) with Atmos
- Return of the Mummy (The War of the Scorpion King) with DTS-X
- Star Wars Ep. V: The Empire Strikes Back (The Battle of Hoth pt. 1 & 2) with Atmos
- Star Wars Ep. VI: Return of the Jedi (The Rancor) with Atmos
- Starship Troopers (Ambush in the desert) with Atmos

Then in 1080p FHD:

- 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (1st Attack) with Atmos
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Rallonge Heliporters) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- Cloverfield (1st Attack) with TrueHD 5.1
- Deepwater Horizon (Gas leak) with Atmos
- Flight (Crash) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Interstellar (Planet Miller) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- LotR : The Two Towers (Gandalf vs Balrog) with DTS HD-MA 6.1
- Master & Commander (Gun Duels) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Midway (Pearl Harbor Attack) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
- Saw (Zepp Overture) with DTS High-Res 7.1
- Star Trek Into Darkness (Kahn Crash) with TrueHD 7.1
- Underwater (Pressure Break) with DTS HD-MA 7.1
- X-Men Apocalypse (Destruction of Auschwitz) with DTS HD-MA 7.1

PS: Very strange this demo of Saw, the sound only goes with VLC. Even Kodi cannot play the video correctly, a first!

In short, always use the right software and it should be fine

Good night !

So, am I reading correctly that these demos can only be played via Kodi and/or NV Shield and can't be played from a flash drive or disc through an AVR?

If so, that needs to be conveyed in the initial post.

Hi

From what I understand, you ask me if it is readable only with Kodi and / or a Nividia Shield?

-> Ideally with Kodi. Some demos work with VLC and MPC-HC but the best is Kodi yes. And regarding the Shield it's just my personal equipment but a Sony Android TV or Xiaomi MiBox with Kodi will be fully compatible (but will not necessarily support HD codecs natively).

And this precision concerning the software to use preferably, is indicated from the beginning on the first post of the first page (indicated by "update" in red)

So, to add to the compatibility, Yes, I have the 2015 Shield but found that, as has been warned from the OP, some demos do not play well (stuttering, no audio) in Kodi. So, I use a file manager from many years, X-plore, and I opened GDrive from there, disabled internal (X-plore) player and used VLC instead and ATMOS was shown from the AVR! Trying with another streamer if it has enough computing power is a bliss, then. GREAT, good work, kudos to the OP!

Thanks for your return !

On the other hand the fact that the Atmos does not work well with Kodi is a first, even with the Shield 2015 ...

I know that it is buggy when you try to play a video via a Drive. It works fine when you have the file in USB.

And yes I try to have as few problems as possible 😅

And this week I will have my new BD-XL compatible burner reader for 4K!

So I can create demo discs 🙂

If I may ask, some quadrophonic music or Auro 3D, or whatsoever in HD lossless ? But, naturally, all not copy protected, free to the public?
Thanks a lot for your work

Well I have to admit that at the moment it's not crazy level new demos 😅

But in the meantime, I had fun creating a template of a hypothetical 4K blu-ray for The Mandalorian (Photoshop makes time pass by a speed)

Besides, do you know where I can distribute my creations? Aside from Insta or Twitter ?

In short, soon there will be Birds of Prey, The Invisible Man, Sonic or even Star Trek (2009)

Question

Thanks for the files on Google Drive. I’ve been able to download and play some of the Atmos ones from a USB drive on my Oppo UDP203, however most have video but no sound. It’s really weird, once I try a file with no sound, the files that have sound will no longer play with sound. Ghost in the Machine, sound. 1917, no sound. Play Ghost in the Machine again, no sound. These are all MKV files.

What am I doing wrong?

Unfortunately with Blu-ray players, many files do not pass (I have a Panasonic turntable and 60% of my files: no sound). They are mostly readable only with Kodi as indicated in the header ... And it is possible that some readers block USB files for security.

Hi everyone !

UPDATE :

I decided to leave the demos in M2TS, since they work perfectly on all video players ... So I just change the TS files, it already gives me a nice leg

During this week, demos will be removed to put the versions in MKV. So don't worry if some are missing.

I have good news, I finally managed to get rid of all the problems related to sound on my demos, basically all can work without bugs provided you have the video player (Finally VLC, Kodi, MPC-HC , etc ...) and the device that goes with it.

The bugs that are fixed are as follows:

- No sound (with VLC and other video players) with many demos in TS format using the DTS HD-MA and DTS-X codecs
- Duration problems with demos using Dolby Digital Plus (& mid-speed Atmos), Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Atmos codecs (basically a 4 mins demo could be 108 hours ...
- Many demos were in TS

Basically, I'm going to recover all the existing demos on the Drive that have either the bugs cited, or using the format other than MKV.

In short, it will take me time but fortunately my quick fix is effective and I have the fiber that allows me to put everything back in a day (if I have faith).

I do this so that EVERYONE can finally read my demos, either (ideally because these software are compatible with audio codecs) VLC, MPC-HC, Kodi or XBMC

PS: New demos will land by the weekend, including Birds of Prey & SW VII - Force Awakens in 4K / Atmos as well as Sonic, V for Vendetta and so on!

PSS: My 4K burner drive works great, I can do more things now!

See you next time !

Thanks for your return. But I advise you to watch this thread because this afternoon, there will be HEAVY new haha

PS : For 4K demos with Dolby Atmos, I have to change them (more than half) because they have a duration bug. So it is possible that the ones you have taken are "infected" but they will soon be replaced by corrected versions

Hello !

I finally finished replacing all the demos in the 4K section that were not working properly

But I added new ones, here is the list right here ->

In 4K HDR first:

13 Hours (spinning by car) with Dolby Atmos
At Quiet Place (Fireworks) with Dolby Atmos
Annihilation (Passage in the Shimmer) with C
Guardians of the Galaxy (Morag) with DTS HD-MA 7.1 (IMAX)
Inception (Time) with DTS HD-MA 5.1
Joker (Rock and Roll, pt. 2) with Dolby Atmos (VO + VF)
Spiderman - Into the Spider-Verse (Evolution of Miles Morales) with Dolby Atmos
Star Wars Ep. I (Forcing the Blockade) with Dolby Atmos
Star Wars Ep. III (Battle of Heroes) with Dolby Atmos
Star Wars Ep. V (The Sunken X-Wing) with Dolby Atmos
Star Wars Ep. VI (End of the Empire) with Dolby Atmos
Transformers 5 (Introduction) with Dolby Atmos
Tron Legacy (Light Cycle Chase) with DTS HD-MA 7.1 (VO) + DTS HRA 7.1 (VF)

Then in FHD 1080p:

Kong Skull Island (Arachnid) with DTS HD-MA 5.1 (VO + VF)
Star Wars (Pursuit in Speeders) with DD + 5.1 (VO + VF)
Thor Ragnarok (Doctor Strange) with DD + 5.1 (VF)
Thor Ragnarok (The Combat Arena) with DTS HD-MA 7.1

In short, see you next time!
