Tubes of Green Glue (sealed) - How long are they good for?

Construction on my room starts in September but won't be dry-walling until the new year.

You can pick up odd sealed tubes of Green Glue cheap on Ebay, classifieds etc. If they are sealed how long is this stuff good for?

I like a bargain, but don't want to buy something that's not going to work.

Example - Just found 23 tubes but they are dated 2014!

I found 6 cases for $100 a case, less than a year old, score for me, but now project is on hold for a while. Green Glue officially says one year, but comments that if stored correctly (cool and sealed) they last much longer. I have heard reports that 5 years later it is still fine. I would avoid the 2014 stuff, but if you find a couple year old stuff it might be worth a chance. I found mine on FB marketplace one state away and had the guy ship it over to me.

After using the stuff I’d think it would be fine, any that gets spilled stays sticky on the floor forever
