TED!!! How the hell are you buddy?

You know here there, and everywhere.. Hong Kong, and 14 other countries in South East Asia. Now I'm in Kuwait again been here 4 weeks with 4 to go.

Really looking forward to getting back to the states, to see my family and all of my AVS buddies.

Aloha! When you're back in town for a while, you want to get to that video shoot?

BTW, your passport must be a fun flip book.

Hey Warren...

I wanted to loose about 50 pounds before the shoot... all this travel has really expanded my.. ahh.. Will you let me run the final edit through After Effects

Yeah my passport is something, I had get pages added again. I'll look you up but I never know when I'll be home, they sometimes let me know the day before.

I'd like to have a guest star at my shoot maybe two. Cliff (Overclocker) and Ken Whitcomb. They complete me hahaha

Its been a while since you ripped it out and rebuilt it.

EDIT - looks like your pics got moved/deleted. I was going to look if you have gone scope or done masking.

It's been a very long time, but I am upgrading my Theater. Perhaps I will start a new thread with a summary of how it came to be, where it is at and where it is going. I pulled 4 20AMP circuits to my rack room, and I'm currently redoing my front wall to add 4 20 AMP circuits and some infra wiring CAT 6 and Q Shield RG6. I removed the 2" of dry wall today and the studs, I'm hoping to finish the clean up and start the rebuild this week. Long term I plan to upgrade my stage with maybe a baffle wall.

So just some updates on where I am at.

1). Completely rebuilt the front wall. Added 4 20 AMP circuits, pulled 2 Quad Shield RG6, and 3 CAT6
2). The front walls and stage have all been rebuilt, 2" Lin RC now and I cover everything with Black GOM to help with Fiber Glass dust.
3). Rack area almost complete. Added 4 20 AMP circuits redoing the dry wall
4). Replacing the Klipsch RF7 and RC64 in the Front with JBL Three Way 15" SRX835P speakers 2000 watts each.
5). Replacing the Pronto Control system and repeater with two Global Cache 100-18R units for iPad control via iRULE. Will interface my Grafix 3000 with RS232
6). Previous Pre Amp from Onkyo replaced with the latest 11.2 system.
7). Pulled 5 50' Balanced XLRs to front wall and a 3.5 50' cable for a IR eye back up
8). Black carpet to be install on front wall in the near term.
9). Sold my QSC 2450 AMPS
10). Replacing RS1 with the last 1080p JvC RS60U
11). Replacing the LED rope lighting with RGBU strip lighting in the soffits, WIFI controlled and IR
12). All Halogen lights replaced with LED
13). Installing an 16 Port Ethernet Switch at the RACK.
14). Ceiling to be skimmed to fix many slight drywall defects, then painted with black https://www.rosco.com/scenic/supersaturated.cfm
15). Fixed drywall on soffit edge, lots of mudding
16). Fix light leak on the door covering the egress window. Considering having the window filled and relocated.

As you can see I'm upgrading pretty much everything as well as fixing some construction mistakes. I guess we can call this theater 3.5?? I'm planning to build a new house with a theater slightly larger and higher than Art's in a CEMENT bunker under the garages using thick span cement, 10-11' ceilings. I'm using my current theater to get back up to speed and test equipment I want.

Som other things in the works JBL EON10" surrounds 1000 Watts each, sell off QSX RMX 1450 Amps. Add kaleidescape setup. It's amazing how empty my rack is compared to when all this started.

Oh those days are long gone. Discovered the gutters were done wrong like really wrong by my builder, I sued. Had a Gutter company put huge 4 or 5" down spouts and redo the gutters as well. They had the angle wrong, and they did the down spouts wrong, they cut and bent the metal with made it easy to plug, they should have used flanges. Water was sitting in the gutters the guy told me. Now a birds nest could flow down the spouts. We got hammered with RAIN right after they were replaced and no issues at all. No more issues.

Tonight was fun.. Got lots of little things done. Even though Purple was one of my high school's colors, I am a fan of purple, but I'm considering changing colors. I mostly made the theater purple for my ex wife 21 year with her, we parted on good terms, cancer can change a person... Anyway I'm considering redoing the fabric, because I can no longer get the fabric on the walls. Fabric is not too bad cost wise and it will allow me to make some changes to the riser, but the carpet is purple... That could be $$$ doesn't really go with many color schemes you know.. Oh well...

If I decide to remove the fabric and redo the riser I will start a new thread to track progress and rebirth and the Purple Plaza / Place etc will be no more. Stay tuned for up and coming craziness.

Despite really amazing progress on the Purple Plaza... I have an announcement. There is no more purple plaza, or rather there is almost no more. I will be starting a complete new build in the very near future. I'm gutting the entire basement to redo everything. Long story, sad story but there is always light in the darkness, we just have to look.

Wel all that remains of the Purple Plex is the sand from the stage, always caulk your seams

Framing is complete on the new theater and electrical. I'll start a new thread soon. The new theater is smaller but same seating, better design. I'm pretty stoked... Thank you to all those that have helped and supported me over the years.
