I have finally started a thread about my budget build. It has taken me 2 years to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Big thanks to eveyone on this forum for inspiration and help.

I started off with an unfinished basement. But only had $10K budget for everything and I mean everything. Luckily my blood, sweat and tears are free

You can look at my non-theater pictures by following the link in my signature.

Comments & questions please.

Here are the rough plans

And some pictures

Yeah, I have two and they both like the basement, now that they can go down there. The Only problem is the storage area isn't big enough for their toys. That is why they are in the HT

My Popcorn Machine. A little too big for the room. I might try and sell it and get a smaller one.

Hey Mr. Woody, (I bet you hear that a lot )

I hadn't previously seen your thread before. Just wanted to chime in and say that you made nice use of the space with the budget that you had. It's funny I had the same budget as you, and like you that was supposed to include everything. Luckily I was able to get most of the major things done with that budget, but when it's all said and done I have pretty much doubled my initial allowance.

As far as the proj. mount, I say paint it the same color as your walls.

Last project is to enclose the equipment and front speakers to hide them. Right now it looks too junky. He is a picture of what I had in mind.
