Epson glasses pair when plugged in, but disconnect when plug is removed

So ebay may have failed me. I found two pairs of Epson ELPGS03 glasses and grabbed what I thought was a good deal. I let them charge to a full battery and tried to set them up.

My issue is that I can pair the glasses if the USB cable is connected and powering the glasses. The projector is telling me they have full charges. But as soon as I disconnect the glasses, they turn off. Am I doing something wrong here? I turn the switch to on, hold the pair button for 3 seconds, and nothing.

Would indicate the batteries are dead - they don't hold a charge.

I'd second that since the batteries inside probably have died from old age. Seems there are people who have replaced them fairly easily with a bit of soldering know-how here.

Sorry for the late response, but thanks you guys. Got the replacements in with a little help from a friend. Letting them charge now.
