4K 3D Projectors ?

Hi there...

I wonder if anyone have some experience with these new 4K short throw projectors , that no one could access to detailed tech specs, brands-models like...

Xiaomi wemax A300
XGIMI Lume 4K, and Pro....
JmGO U1

I wondering if they are able to play a 3D top-bottom ( or side by side ) UHD stream, in native 4K, like a for example a LG 4K 3D TV does. ( the projector, in active 3d, of course )

Some other 4K projectors, they only support 3D in HD resolution. But those mentioned, no way the see the real specs...

Thanks,
Enrique

My own 4K 3D capable projector is not short throw and only works with 1080p signals which it then has to upsample to 4K.

It may be worth noting that 3D content in native 4K doesn't exist.

My 4K 3D capable projector (Sony VW285ES) does do all the formats... side by side, top and bottom, frame packed.

I thought 3d standard is @ full hd maximum, hence there is no uhd-3d player, tv or pj.

Do you mean that you know/own a tv/pj accepting uhd input on hdmi while 3d function is active and actually converting the uhd sbs/tab on screen in 3d?

Yes, you could do this with a passive 4K-3D TV, like the LG Cinema 3D 4K. They are able to play a 3840x2160 sbs/tb in 3D with very nice quality...
I guess any passive 4K is able to do this, because it does not require double bandwidth.

Nice to know that. I will investigate about uhd projectors. Do you know if it works on hfr 48-50-60p ?

I would be interested to know if you can play 3840x2160 half side by side 4k 3D files like you can on an LG set... If you want to try I have a few available of sinus anatomy... On an LG OLEG 65/55/77 sets you can put the files on a usb drive and play them from the build in media player or stream from a Roku Pro for example.

Only way to do it on a projector that I know of right now would be to use 2 4K projectors. I think Bino could handle the dual streams, and a silver 3D screen and polarized glasses.

Yes, LG did it right. Can accept 3D in UHD resolutions. Use top/bottom half for best results. But you can see what you're missing with only 3D at HD resolution, then view content at 4K3D half resolution (3840x1080/eye).

I've got several 4K3D videos up on YT since 2016. If you have a 4K 3D screen they should play in 4K3D half resolution, just enable top/bottom mode, providing you have the bandwidth.

I will be using 2 JVC 540's for passive 3D with Infitec Apex filters and glasses. No silver screen is needed. Each projector has a Lumagen 2143 for calibration and to upscale to 4k output. Also have a Geobox 601 for alignment if physical alignment is a problem.
