Yeah...nvidia stopped supporting 3d vision in April of last year (the article you linked is virtual reality not 3d vision). The last driver package to support it was 418.
Seems that step 1 in getting everything working is to add a 3rd 1080ti.
My cards only have a single dvi-d port (@ 120Hz), the other ports only support 60 Hz. Do have another but have to see if it'll fit in the case and then psu becomes a little bit of a concern. 7940x (HT disabled) and 3x 1080ti's (cpu and all vgas overclocked) draw some power. Have a 1600watt psu and a couple calculators estimate 1400 watts so may be ok.
If I add the 3rd card so all 3 monitors get 120Hz signals, I'm thinking install driver package 418, reboot, install the newest driver package but do not select to perform a clean install. Should get 3d surround working properly but still have newer drivers?
