Sonos PLAYBAR or normal playbar + sonos connect?

I'm gonna put a soundbar in my living room. For same price, which is better?

1. Sonos PLAYBAR
2. Other Cheaper soundbar + $325 Sonos connect.

Thanks!

I have a Sonos soundbar and I love it ,but the sound bar is in my bedroom with the sub and two sonos play 1 ,in the living room I have a Revel System.

it depends ,the sonos do not have HDMI and do not support DTS ,only one optical input.

The sound bar with the rest of the speakers can be very expensive if you buy them in the store ,I bought everything on ebay almost brand new for a lot less ,I also have the Sonos connect and Sonos speakers in the bedrooms ,kitchen and bathroom, everything was purchase on ebay .

The Sonos Playbar has a very good reputation. It has 9 speakers in it, that's a large part of its success. For the money, you are unlikely to find a better soundbar.

I didn't go with the Sonos Playbar personally. I went with a Heos system because their other speakers, the 1, 3, 5, and 7 sound much better than the Sonos equivalents. The Heos Soundbar only has 4 speakers but hopefully it will sound pretty good.

You might save a few dollars by getting a Sony ST5 soundbar and coupling it with a Sonos Connect, but I'm not sure it's worth the money to go this route. You could do this with Heos as well but I don't think adding Connect or an equivalent to a soundbar is the best way to go, it's expensive once you buy all the pieces and any advantages are minimal.
