Hi everyone - was hoping someone could help clarify what the difference between the Vizio SB3651 E6 and F6 model is - aside from the former being a 2017 release and the latter being 2018 (but without Atmos and also possibly an Amazon specific model?). There is a $50 difference between the two and wondering if the F6 ($250) is worth the $50 compared to the E6 ($200).
Not sure of any difference other than the F6 has two upfiring speakers in the bar for Dolby Atmos.
My understanding is that the particular model of the F6 Amazon is selling does NOT have the upward speakers for Dolby Atmos. The 5.1 model that Amazon is offering is just 5.1, not the 5.1.2 (or 5.1.4) - which ultimately would cost more.
The 36" 5.1-E6 is $200 (from Costco)
The 36" 5.1-F6 is $250 (from Amazon)
The 36" 5.1.2-F6 is $500 (from Vizio)
The 5.1 vs. 5.1.2 price difference makes sense, but just not sure what the difference is between the 5.1-E6 and the 5.1-F6
Was wondering the same myself as I ordered the F6, but saw the E6 at Costco for $65 cheaper... the F6 replaces DTS: StudioSound with DTS Virtual:X. I've never tried it before, but am looking forward to hearing it when the system arrives.
The main difference is the E6 should have been recalled for having a connection issues. The E6 randomly cuts off during long sessions due to poor Bluetooth frequencies and needs to be hard reset upon the issue. This is a common issue among customers which is why I say it should have been recalled. The F6 connects over WiFi and pretty much was the fix to the E6 connectivity issues. Also the F6 can be controlled by the VizioCast app
