Which features to look for in a soundbar to be future proof

Hi, could anyone tell me the all features I'd want in a sound bar to ensure it will be future proof for the surround capabilities of movies, streaming & next gen consoles?

I'm looking for the best soundbars for under £500 that do this stuff & won't cause compatabilty issues with my LG CX - would anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers.

Oh I forgot to mention, I’️m looking to have Atmos included - I think £500 might be about the cheapest Atmos bars get..

EDIT: Actually Atmos is a bad idea for my room as it’s not the ideal shape and we all sit in non-ideal positions. This rather experienced guy explains it and recommends air sound instead - how do I know which Soundbars have air sound?
